BEATLES REEL 2 REEL - tapes from the Radio Caroline archives to include various interviews, songs and The Beatles Christmas message to fans dating from Dec 1964. The boxed 10.5" EMITAPE lasts 40 minutes and the Beatles Christmas message starts at 9.18 and finishes at 12.10 includes Paul, John and then Ringo thanking fans. Followed by Beatles singing She Loves You in German (finishes at 14.12). Also includes messages from Cliff & The Shadows, The Fourmost, Val Doonican. Digital recording of the tape will be provided. Lot also includes 2 further tapes from the Radio Caroline archive with one including 2/3 live Beatles recordings and the other includes various Beatles songs which would have been played on the radio.

MIKE READ JOE MEEK TAPES - to include 2 professionally recorded 5" reel 2 reel tapes and 4 cassette tapes. 3 of the cassettes are recordings and songs which featured in Mike's radio documentary on Joe Meek. The 2 reel tapes feature recordings by Geoff Goddard that were arranged by Joe Meek - the recordings are "Skymen" (HMV POP1213) from 1963 and "My Little Girls Come Home" (HMV POP 1068) from 1962. The last cassette tape is a recording of "Joe Meek in Happy Mood composing with Geoff Goddard at the Piano Holloway Road Studios in the early 60's".

Radio Fun Annuals (1950) two variants. The original Radio Fun annual for 1950 showed ITMA comic, Tommy Handley on the cover but his untimely death in 1949 caused the annual to be withdrawn and redesigned with Wilfred Pickles in his place. According to our research some Tommy Handley copies were sent out to Australia, New Zealand and South Africa before withdrawal. This is brought out by the copy offered here which does not have the '7/6' UK price on the fly page but it does have a small sticker on the inside cover 'Frank Every's Book Shop Bendigo', Bendigo being in Victoria, Australia.
