THE BEATLES: Three Beatles signatures comprising Paul McCartney, Ringo Star and George Harrison, signed in blue ink on one page of an autograph album on Sunday 19th July 1964. The album includes other autographs of the day including Jimmy Edwards, Tommy Steel, Jimmy Hill, Harry Seacombe, Dick Emery etc. Sold with a signed photograph of Jimmy Edwards and two large black and white photographs (4)PROVENANCE:The album was given as a present from Jimmy Edwards (1920-1988), comedy writer and radio and television actor, to his niece and inscribed it to her on the first page of this album 'Many happy returns to Susan - from her uncle Jimmy Edwards June 15th 1957'. Jimmy Edwards Niece is the vendor of this lot. In 1964, for her birthday, he took her to see 'Blackpool Night Out' being filmed at the ABC Theatre in Blackpool (Sunday 19th July 1964), it was here that he introduced her to The Beatles back stage and they signed the autograph album in front of her. John Lennon was there but was elsewhere in the building at the time.
