Original vintage film advertising poster for the 1969 animated film Tintin and the Temple of the Sun (original title Tintin et le temple du soleil), which was produced by Belvision Studios. A co-production between Belgium, France and Switzerland, it is an adaptation of Herge's two-part Tintin adventure The Seven Crystal Balls and Prisoners of the Sun. First appearing in 1929 in French, The Adventures of Tintin was one of the most popular European comics of the 20th century. By 2007, a century after Herge's birth in 1907, Tintin had been published in more than 70 languages with sales of more than 200 million copies, and had been adapted for radio, television, theatre, and film. The artwork features the protagonist Tintin and his dog Snowy grasping onto the claw talons of a huge black and white vulture, whilst other main characters including the twins Thomson and Thompson, Captain Haddock, the Professor and Zorrino look on. Also features a gold Incan sculpture and temple in the background. The caption translates as "90 minutes of adventure, gags, suspense and laughts!" Good condition, folds, minor tears on folds. Operator "This is a topping life." Part of the British Army (founded 1660), the Corps of Royal Engineers was formed in 1716. Printed by The Dangerfield Printing Co Ltd London. Original vintage travel poster for Bath issued by British Railways Western Region - In 1828 by the new steam carriage Bath today by Western Region. Great design by Eric George Fraser (1902-1983) depicts a scene from 1828 in Bath featuring a well dressed man and lady looking on at a London and Bath Royal Patent steam carriage with Roman architecture in the background. Eric George Fraser was a British illustrator and graphic artist. He was famous in the public mind for contributions to the Radio Times, and as the creator in 1931 of 'Mr Therm' in adverts for the Gas Light and Coke Company. Printed in Great Britain by Waterlow and Sons Limited London and Dunstable.
