A rare and interesting WWII Second World War handwritten letter home by a 14254450 Signalman Berryman 48AA Ops Room, Signals Section, CMF. Complete with its original ' Active Service ' envelope. The letter appears to be written home to his wife a Mrs JL Berryman of Berkshire .' The letter, covering some 22 sides of lined notepaper, goes into great detail about the Signalman's daily routine, life, fears and hopes. Much is made about his longing to be home, and some of the 'characters' he encounters in his day to day life. He regales tales of found kittens, attending a Whist Drive (and being 10 minutes late for duty), a furious Cockney who turns off the radio one evening, and other such stories. Although the envelope is stamped ' Passed By Censors ' the nature of the letter deals with many things that would likely be censored.  A touching, and poignant WWII letter. Rare.
