* EDWARD CHISNALL, LATE SNOW, THAWING CITY HILLS oil on canvas, signed, further signed, titled and dated 8 August '82 verso 76cm x 62cm Framed. Artist's label verso. Note: Edward H Chisnall is a well-known artist, author and broadcaster who was born in Glasgow in 1942. He works from a "haunted studio" in his home town of Glasgow. His written works include Bell in the Tree: The Glasgow Story which was also broadcast as a series three times a day, every day of the week throughout 1990 by Radio Clyde. His paintings rarely appear at auction but whenever they do, it is very obvious how much time it must take to complete each one. The level of detail is always impressive but it's Edward Chisnall's imagination which is even more intriguing.
