ALECHINSKY, Pierre (Bruxelles 1927-).- "[...] Dotremont, en 1957, en bonnet lapon".Eau-forte en noir sur Chine appliqué, 25 x 16,3 cm, dédicacé, signé et daté à la mine de crayon sous le champ.Sous vitre, passe-partout et cadre de bois brun.Est. : 250/ 300 €Intéressante pièce réunissant les noms de Dotremont, Alechinsky et, sans doute, Olyf, trois artistes issus de La Cambre et réunis aux "Ateliers du Marais". La Laponie était une référence majeure pour Dotremont qui en disait : "Nous avons moins à offrir à la Laponie qu’elle n’a à nous offrir. La Laponie nous manque. Voilà le vrai scandale. La Laponie nous offre par exemple le sens du grand, du vaste et en même temps, le sens du peu. Une perspective du vaste et du peu qui nous manque. Car nous vivons ici encombrés, nous avons peu de nature et beaucoup de choses, et la Laponie, c’est le contraire. Il faudrait que sa leçon profonde, son scandale profond, son scandale primitif nous intéressent, nous fassent poser des questions… La Laponie, courageusement, malgré la pression de quelques progrès dont la plupart sont inutiles, la Laponie naturellement vit dans une perspective vivante de temps, dans une sorte d’éternité où les instants sont des instants, dans une lenteur magistrale et humble…" (# interview radio avec Christian Bussy, 1969). Bert Weedon - Abbott Victor Ritz arch top acoustic guitar, circa 1946,19 fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl block position markers, tobacco burst finish hollow body, hard case *Provenance: this guitar was used by Bert in many radio recordings between 1946-1948. Bert Weedon traded this guitar back to Jack Abbott for the top of the range Music Master model. That model, along with several other iconic instruments associated with Bert Weedon, remains with the family. The guitar was sold to a pupil of Bert`s in 1950 This guitar comes with the original white pickguard signed by Bert Weedon and a signed magazine cut-out dated December 1946 depicting Bert with the guitar.
