HORNBY: An original Hornby 00 Gauge R247A Co Co 37260 Radio Highland locomotive. In original box with paperwork. Notes: this lot comes from an extensive private collection of model railways trainset locomotives and accessories (Hornby, Bachmann, Mainline etc). The newer pieces are mostly unused and will come with all paperwork, interior packaging and accessories. The gentleman vendor had one set to use, and one set to keep. Some older models are 'used' but in original packaging / boxes. Buyers are reminded to satisfy themselves on the condition of each individual lot, but the majority of this collection is 'as new.'
ARCHIE ANDREWS: An original 1950's cast aluminium novelty moving moneybox in the form of Archie Andrews, ventriloquist dummy to Peter Brough. No makers name, but patent mark to reverse. Hand painted. Via a lever, the coin is placed within the hand and then fed into the mouth with eyes, mouth and ears moving in unison. Archie Andrews was a ventriloquist's dummy used by ventriloquist Peter Brough in a radio and television show in the UK in the 1950s and 1960s. In its radio format it was called Educating Archie. Archie was invariably dressed in a broad-striped blazer, and addressed the ventriloquist as "Brough". The television scripts were written by Marty Feldman and Ronald Chesney.

*Norman Mansbridge (1911-1993) 'MARRIAGE GUIDANCE' Signed and inscribed, pen and ink and watercolour 17.5 x 18.5cm; and four others by the same hand; Terence Parkes, 'Larry' (1927-2003) 'MOTORIST IN PRISON' Signed and inscribed, pen and ink and watercolour 36 x 31cm overall; and seven further cartoons by other hands, various sizes, all unframed (15) Norman Mansbridge was in advertising before becoming a freelance cartoonist, contributing his first drawing to Punch in 1937. After the outbreak of war, he joined the Merchant Navy and was also given a roving commission as a war artist. After the war, Mansbridge returned to work for the News Chronicle, Men Only, Sunday Times, Radio Times, Lilliput, Daily Sketch and Birmingham Post, largely producing single drawings featuring an absurdist view of normal life. In 1958 he was elected a member of the Punch Table, and became the magazine's political cartoonist. *Artist's Resale Right may apply to this lot.

Schuco (Germany) Radio 5000 pre-war tinplate clockwork car, blue with black roof, bonnet and wheel arches, plated radiator, wire aerial to roof, with key. Music mechanism is working, clockwork drive is winding but not running. G, some corrosion to headlights and hubs, scratches and other wear.
