* Richman (Harry). A signed photograph of Harry Richman's plane "Lady Peace", approx. 200 x 250 mm., showing the single engine Vultee VI on an expanse of ground, boldly signed 'To "Cecil," faithfully Harry Richman 1937', together with a souvenir ping pong ball commemorating the first nonstop round trip crossing of the Atlantic by air in September 1936, inscribed in ink 'To "Cecil"', contained in orig. container, plus a typewritten letter signed by Harry Richman to Cecil Pashley, postmarked 30th June 1938. Harry Richman, the American stage, screen and radio star, sponsored a record-breaking flight from New York to London and back again in September 1936. He was accompanied by Dick Merrill, chief pilot of Eastern Airlines. The complete flight took 39 hours, and ended in a crash-landing at Musgrave Harbour, Newfoundland, Canada. (3)
