New Zealander Nancy Wake, who was one of the most decorated women of WW-2, Signed 13.5 x 8.5 cm photograph. She joined the French Resistance and helped save 100s of Allied Troops. A marvellous woman. For now one story will suffice and, perhaps, will make you smile a wistful smile. Her Group lost their radio telephone which was used extensively for coordination. She rode her bicycle 200 km across France, to another radio operator. “I got back. How are you they enquired? I cried. I couldn’t stand up. I could not sit down. I could not do anything. I just cried. Good condition. All signed items come with a Certificate of Authenticity and can be shipped worldwide. Est
Signatures of 3 pilots who took part in 'Operation Oyster' Eindoven December 6 1942. Group Captain James Pelly-Fry DSO RAF Flight Lieutenant T.H.J. Cairns DFC DFM RNZAF, Group Captain George Parry DSO DFC* RAF. Operation Oyster was the biggest & most complex raid carried out by 2 Group in WWII. It cost Germany an estimated six months of lost production time at a critical point in the conflict. It is arguable that the operation was in fact rather more significant than Operation Chastise, the Dambuster raid, striking at the very heart of what Churchill termed 'the wizard war' against German radio navigational technology by attacking a central hub of activity; the Philips Radio Works in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Good condition. All signed items come with a Certificate of Authenticity and can be shipped worldwide. Est
