- Converted into a T-bar cabriolet by Auto Design (Kent) - Large folder history file & cherished registration number - 25,000 recorded miles & MOT certificate into April 2015 Further info: Finished in British Racing Green with Jaguar Cream folding roof and cream trim this unique Rover Mini Cooper Sports pack was converted in 2000 (at 9,500 miles) to a T-Bar Cabriolet by Dave Champion of Auto Design (Kent). Dave Champion first specialised in producing the Mini T-bar Cabriolet in 1980 but has converted everything from the practical Fiat Panda to the stately Rolls Royce. The previous keeper after visiting all the established Mini dealers arrived at Auto Design the day that this car (then registered T257 AKN) arrived and was told in advance that the car had been in an accident and he could see immediately that it was a perfect choice for the planned conversion. The vendor checked out the legalities of repairing and converting a category D insurance loss, spoke to the original owner and was then happy to proceed with the purchase. This unique car was maintained by John Cooper Garages until its closure and the intension was to be a "forever" car to be passed on through the family however the previous keeper had the chance to buy a very rare Wood & Pickett Margrave Mini and couldn't let the opportunity pass with the Mini changing hands to the current vendor. The sale includes the unique registration plate and a substantial history file which includes its original book pack with service book and handbook, original sales invoice, collection of old Mots and invoices, Kenwood Radio/CD with four speakers and all the badges professionally changed to Mini Sooper this unique one of kind Mini which displays a believed correct but unwarrented 25,000 miles from new is looking for a new home.
- Recently treated to replacement jacking points & floorpan repairs - Overhauled engine, stainless steel exhaust & manual overdrive transmission - Original headlining-recessed sun visors, buff logbook & valve radio Further info: Dry stored from 2005-2014, the past year has reportedly seen `WKG 204' treated to replacement jacking points and sundry floorpan repairs. Previously professionally overhauled, its 2.4 litre straight-six boasts a stainless steel exhaust and is allied to four-speed manual plus overdrive transmission. Variously rated by the vendor as `fair' (bodywork, paintwork), `good' (engine, gearbox, electrical equipment) or `fair/original' (light blue interior trim), this early MK2 retains its original headlining-recessed sun visors, buff logbook and valve radio. A potentially rewarding project.
