**SRN - Ricketts racing have confirmed that most of the Lotus works however there are still issues that need addressing, please view the itemised list of known works needed in the history file** An S4 Coupé given to Keith Duckworth, co-founder of Cosworth Engineering, by Lotus Cars to commemorate the first win by a DFV-engined Grand Prix car at the Dutch GP in 1967 - now offered with No Reserve. This sparkling, British Racing Green, S4 Elan FHC, PNV 80F, was presented to Keith Duckworth/Cosworth Engineering Ltd. by Lotus Cars to commemorate the first win by a DFV-engined Grand Prix car at the Dutch GP at Zandvoort on 4th June 1967Correspondence between Keith and the Elan's second owner confirms that he believed that he was being given a Series 3 car and was surprised to be gifted this "Lotus-built Series 4 prototype" He also confirms that, having bought it from Cosworth when he left in 1990,  the car remained in his possession until its sale in 1998 with an indicated mileage of 15,030In 2016, the Elan was entrusted to the well respected team of Ken and Neil Myers to commence a full, body-off, restoration to their normal, prize-winning standards but retaining as much originality as possible. Pleasingly the chassis, body and engine are all original and the car was re-finished in its original Lotus British Racing Green with silver bumpers and silver centre-lock wheels with three-eared spinners and stainless ‘Rimbellishers’The interior is standard S4 and retains its Radiomobile push-button radio and three-spoke, Colin Chapman-monogrammed steering wheel.During the first run up of the engine, a fuel leak ignited and caused fire damage to the bonnet and bulkhead. Myers choose to make an insurance claim where, unfortunately, it was deemed a 'Category B' insurance loss. They repaired the damaged areas and completed the restoration to their normal standards and it was subsequently inspected by the DVLA and issued a V5CShortly after its arrival with us, we became aware that one or two aspects of the restoration were incomplete and the car has recently returned from Lotus specialists, Rickets Racing who have fitted a new wiring loom, however, we believe that there maybe one or two more jobs to complete although it is running and driving. Cosmetically, it is just as you might hope and this very special Elan is undoubtedly an important car in the history of LotusSupplied with the car are an original Elan tool kit, an original Elan 4 Owners Handbook, old MOTs, tax discs, V5s etc., lots of period photographs, articles correspondence, magazines, a biography and assorted memorabilia. SpecificationMake: LOTUSModel: ELAN S4Year: 1968Chassis Number: 367932Registration Number: PNV 80FTransmission: ManualEngine Number: LP-12138LBRDrive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 19900 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Black vinylClick here for more details, condition report and images

Educating Archie was a BBC Light Programme comedy show which was broadcast for nearly ten years between June 1950 and February 1960. The programme featured ventriloquist Peter Brough and his doll Archie Andrews. The show was very popular, despite its unlikely central premise of a ventriloquist act on radio. Educating Archie averaged 15 million listeners, and a fan club boasted 250,000 members. It was so successful that in 1950, after only four months on the air, it won the Daily Mail's Variety Award. The programme introduced comedians who later became well known, including Tony Hancock as Archie's tutor, Benny Hill, Harry Secombe, Dick Emery, Bernard Bresslaw, Hattie Jacques, and Bruce Forsyth – together with a young Julie Andrews as Archie's girlfriend. Later, Beryl Reid took this role, playing the St Trinian's School-esque Monica. Ronald Wolfe (1922 – 2011) was a British television comedy scriptwriter, best known for his 1960s and 1970s sitcoms The Rag Trade, Meet the Wife, On the Buses and Romany Jones alongside his writing partner Ronald Chesney.

THE GREEN HORNETCGC Graded Lobby Card (11" x 14")Very Fine Universal, 1940The Hornet remains a vital part of the popular culture landscape today. Offered here is one of the finest lobby cards released in support of this serial, featuring a stunning portrait of the two heroes in an appropriate green tone. This lobby card has been CGC graded at 8.0, which is Very Fine. In 1933, George Trendle, the director of radio station XYZ, instructed writer Fran Striker to create a new hero for the public to listen to. The result was the Lone Ranger, a symbol of heroism in the Old West and a champion of justice. Building on this success, Striker introduced a modernized version of the Ranger in 1936 called the Green Hornet. By day, he was a crusading newspaperman, and by night, he fought against evil as an arch-enemy. The character was so well-received that he soon made his way into comics and Big Little books, gaining even more fans. Inevitably, a movie serial featuring the Hornet and his Korean valet, Kato, was released by Universal in 1940. Gordon Jones played the title role. This lot will be auctioned on Thursday, December 7th. The auction will begin at 9:30am PST and lots are sold sequentially via live auctioneer; tune in to the live streaming broadcast on auction day to follow the pace. Note other lots in the auction may close on December 8th.

Lot 132

IT'S A GIFTOne-Sheet (27.5" x 41")Good on Linen Paramount, 1934One of two known copies in existence for this 1934 classic, this poster is as unique as the characters it features. With classic artwork of both the infamous W.C. Fields and his pint-sized foe Baby LeRoy, this one-sheet is a unique opportunity to own a rare piece of cinema history. The other copy is reportedly in the Library of Congress. This poster had paper missing from all the borders which has been replaced except the left side. There has been paintwork to the titling and most of the backgrounds, but aside from a few minor chips the two central character images including the window in which W.C. Fields appears have not been touched up. Lower credits have been added as well as the "Adolph Zukor Presents" credit. The poster has been restored to its original state and now displays impressively.A multi-talented radio and film personality, W.C. Fields perfected his persona as a hard-drinking, child-hating misanthrope. So, it made sense that he would find one of his greatest on-screen foils in the form of Baby LeRoy (Ronald Le Roy Overacker) and Charlie McCarthy. In all, Fields made four films with LeRoy, including this one, which is considered to be one of the comedian's finest efforts. This lot will be auctioned on Thursday, December 7th. The auction will begin at 9:30am PST and lots are sold sequentially via live auctioneer; tune in to the live streaming broadcast on auction day to follow the pace. Note other lots in the auction may close on December 8th.

Lot 187

MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH, AUK Three Sheet (40" x 77"); AKA Stairway to HeavenVery Fine Folded Eagle-Lion, 1946Shown under its original title, the posters from the first post-war year are uncommon. This is a country of origin poster that we've never seen before and is incredibly scarce. The poster is printed in two panels as was the standard and both panels are in exceptional condition. There is minor fold centerpoint wear and some small pinholes. The paper is still very fresh and supple. This film, released in America as Stairway to Heaven, was directed by the award-winning team of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger and stars David Niven, Kim Hunter, Robert Livesey, Richard Attenborough, and Raymond Massey in the charming tale of Peter Carter (Niven), an RAF pilot who finds himself in "the other world" after jumping from a burning plane without a parachute. When his guide to the afterlife misses him in the confusion, Carter finds himself still alive and falling in love with June (Hunter), the USAF radio operator he was speaking to before bailing out. Interestingly, the scenes on Earth are filmed in Technicolor, while the scenes in Heaven are rendered in stunning black-and-white, giving those segments a truly otherworldly appearance. This lot will be auctioned on Thursday, December 7th. The auction will begin at 9:30am PST and lots are sold sequentially via live auctioneer; tune in to the live streaming broadcast on auction day to follow the pace. Note other lots in the auction may close on December 8th.

Lot 248

DRESSED TO KILLOne-Sheet (27" x 41")Very Fine- Folded Universal, 1946This is a lovely unrestored poster, other than archival tissue tape behind the upper vertical fold. There is some fold separation top vertical fold, pinholes in the corners, and minor cross fold wear. There are corner bends and slight border staining in the lower right. In this, the fourteenth and last entry in the Basil Rathbone/Nigel Bruce Sherlock Holmes series, the great detective and his partner must determine why a trio of murderous criminals are desperately seeking three seemingly worthless music boxes. Although Rathbone stated that he was leaving the franchise because he was afraid of being typecast as Holmes, he would reprise the character for the rest of his career on stage, radio, and television. This lot will be auctioned on Thursday, December 7th. The auction will begin at 9:30am PST and lots are sold sequentially via live auctioneer; tune in to the live streaming broadcast on auction day to follow the pace. Note other lots in the auction may close on December 8th.

Lot 316

WHITE CHRISTMASOne-Sheet (28" x 42")Fine+ Folded Paramount, 1954A folded poster with extra creasing, pinholes in the borders plus a few in the poster image, fold wear including some chipping, especially in the lower center point cross-fold, and some separation. There is also edge wear, including a chip out of the lower right edge. The image itself is bright and clean. Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye portray two old war buddies who upon returning home from WWII, become famous stage and radio performers. Soon after, Kaye falls for Vera-Ellen, and together, they plot to get her sister (Rosemary Clooney) and Crosby together. Directed with his usual flair for making all his movies enjoyable, Michael Curtiz helmed this picture with some of the most memorable songs from an Irving Berlin musical. To this day, White Christmas is one of the most popular movies shown repeatedly during the holiday season. This lot will be auctioned on Thursday, December 7th. The auction will begin at 9:30am PST and lots are sold sequentially via live auctioneer; tune in to the live streaming broadcast on auction day to follow the pace.
