ROLLING STONES BEGGARS BANQUET SIGNED LP & PRESS RELEASE - great lot which includes a 1st press Stereo pressing of their Beggars Banquet LP (Ex/Ex) that has been signed inside the gatefold along with 2 press releases (15 page Beggars Banquet & 1 page Rock N Roll Circus). Most of the signatures appear authentic although a couple have inconsistencies when compared to typical signatures and may therefore have been signed by another band member in their absence. These inconsistencies mean that this has not been fully authenticated so please judge for yourself from the images before bidding. Provenance: from the collection of David Atkey who was a Producer at Radio 1 during the 70's & 80's and met the band when they came in to promote their album.

The custom picture box contains eight 14" x 11" full size full colour reproduction lobby cards for the film, a double sided press release , a four page 'Making Of' by Roy Carr & a double sided appreciation by Martin Scorsese. Only 250 of the press kits were made. Also included is the Help! 2007 UK 'Special Edition' 2-disc DVD set featuring the digitally restored movie with 5.1 Sound containing classic Beatles tracks & a cast of British character actors plus 'The Beatles In Help' documentary, 'Missing' scene with Wendy Richard, 'The Restoration Of Help' & 'Memories Of Help' where cast & crew reminisce, Theatrical Trailers & 1965 US Radio Spots, presented in a deluxe package with 60-page hardback book containing rare photos & production notes written by director Richard Lester & Martin Scorsese plus 8 lobby cards, poster & reproduction of the original annotated script!). The two sided album contains an interview with Stevie, the original letter from Atlantic Records that accompanied the record and other documents. 1952 (1 June). Badge commemorating the erection of a memorial to Sean McNeela at Ballycroy, Co. Mayo. Enamel pin-back badge, legend reads SEAN MAC CONGHAOLA MEMORIAL 1st JUNE 1952. Commemorates Sean McNeela, IRA Director of Publicity, who died on hunger strike in April 1940. Sean 'Jack' McNeela was born in Ballycoy, Co. Mayo. He was imprisoned for two years for operating a pirate radio station for Sinn Fein. In a protest over the sending of a political prisoner to Mountjoy he went on a 55 day hunger strike and died on 19 April 1940.The badge is accompanied by extensive notes from archives.
