Quite the survivor, an ex-South African 'Suffix G' that was in great shape, with history, even before our enthusiast-vendor fully recommissioned it. Now ready to enjoy. The car presented here is 1980 Suffix G Range Rover that was delivered new to South Africa, being assembled at the Leyland Blackheath plant, outside of Cape Town prior to being sold by Eloff Leyland to Mr C.F De Langue of Florida Panel Beaters in Johannesburg, bearing the registration number CVL 767T. Today, remarkably, it’s still accompanied by its original logbook, in the name of Mr De Langue, the original owner’s manual and sales brochure, plus historical service records (with all ten 5,000km service intervals stamped up to the last available page at 50,000km). The logbook (and an inspection) confirms it as a matching numbers example. It has now been imported into the UK and registered as KVO 975V; obviously, being a historical vehicle, it is tax and MOT exempt, but nevertheless, our vendor fastidiously obtained an advisory-free MOT in December 2023 for provenance and peace of mind. After driving KVO regularly for 6 months, he commissioned a comprehensive programme of work, costing £15,000+, including a colour change from the original Burnt Orange to Bahama Gold. The restoration process has been photographically and financially documented and all the receipts are available. The vehicle was fully stripped back to the shell and pleasingly, the chassis appeared to be in perfect condition and required no welding. The chassis and frame were then prepared, rust-proofed, primed and re-painted. At considerable cost, a full set of new rubber seals were purchased and fitted all around (windscreen, windows, doors, tailgate), as well as new quarter-light frames, rear light and front side light clusters, door mirrors and petrol cap. The vehicle’s interior was then sound-proofed using Dodo Mat insulation and the vehicle was professionally resprayed in Bahama Gold (LRC 235) using 2K paint. The interior has been completely replaced with all new parts imported including herringbone cloth seat covers all round, a full set of bronze carpets, Palomino door cards, arm rests, rear panels, B and C pillar trims, front footwell side trims and the Hardura spare wheel and tool-roll covers. The original dash top was badly cracked, so a replacement dash top in perfect condition was purchased from Suffix Matters costing £575.A new headlining was sourced locally, and the interior now presents in as new condition. A CD/radio is fitted in the correct place and correctly wired. The vendor has not fitted speakers in the new door cards, preferring to appreciate the hum of the V8. Being a South Africa-assembled vehicle, this example comes with working, factory-fitted AC.Mechanically, the vehicle has always been kept in excellent running condition, with maintenance records dating from 1980-1983 and from 2014-2024. The car has been fully serviced, the twin Stromberg carburettors have been professionally rebuilt and a new starter motor, battery, brake master cylinder, and a reconditioned alternator have been installed. The engine runs beautifully, the gearbox is as precise as it can be for a Range Rover Classic, and the brakes and clutch operate perfectly. The vehicle has been exclusively garaged by the vendor at his homes in Cape Town and the UK, and is now offered for sale in exceptional, turn-key condition.  Specification Make: LAND ROVER Model: RANGE ROVER SUFFIX G Year: 1979 Chassis Number: 6066AA35756612 Registration Number: KVO 975V Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 35536472F Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 62283 KM Make: RHDClick here for more details and images

Lot 257

Supplied new to British actor, Robin Ellis, this outstanding Interceptor II has been beautifully restored with absolute attention to detail and will continue to turn heads for another 50 years. Jensen's C-V8 replacement debuted in 1966, reviving a name first employed in the 1950s. However, several of the firm's traditions were broken in that the design was outsourced to Carrozzeria Touring and the bodies made of steel, not fibreglass. Early shells were built in Italy by Vignale prior to production being established at Jensen's Kelvin Way plant in West Bromwich. Power came from a 6,276cc (383ci) Chrysler V8, driving through either a 4-speed manual or 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission to an LSD Salisbury rear axle. Specification included electric windows, reclining seats, wood-rim steering wheel, radio with twin speakers, electric clock and reversing lights. Production of the Interceptor II (occasionally called the MkII or Series II) commenced in October 1969 and lasted for two years. This particular car has a chassis prefix, #123, so was one of 694 right-hand drive UK-cars powered by the E-Series 383ci V8 generating around 330bhp. It was first registered in the spring of 1970 and supplied new to British actor, Robin Ellis, best known for playing the leading role in the BBC series, Poldark, based on the novels of Winston Graham. Purchased for just under £8,000 or the equivalent of £150,000 in todays money, the Jensen was a serious car for special customers.Several enthusiastic owners enjoyed the Jensen over the years until 2015 when the decision was made to completely restore it. The car's condition today is testament to the outstanding workmanship of the specialist team commissioned to complete the restoration and we understand that this glorious, long-legged GT performs as well as it looks. The provenance and history of the Jensen is supported by a large history file containing the factory pre-sale inspection documents and paperwork which confirms that its first owner, Robin Adair Ellis, took delivery of the car on 6th May 1970. Also within the file is a detailed account of the restoration with supporting documentation, the current V5C ready for transfer or export, old MOT Certificates, the Heritage Certificate and a wealth of invoices for care and maintenance over the years, with the most recent service carried out in January 2023.The car was purchased by our vendor last year and fitted with a new power steering set up. The intention was to commission Jensen International Automotive to upgrade the car with their full Corvette engine and running gear conversion, at a cost of some £200,000, however, having viewed and subsequently purchased one of the early Corvette-engined, upgraded JIA cars from us in November 2023, he thoroughly enjoys the car and plans to keep it, making this car surplus to his requirements.Finished in a lovely shade of very pale grey, the Jensen continues to attract all the right attention and as a well restored and very well-maintained example, should only require basic maintenance. A rare blend of Italian styling, an American engine and British craftsmanship, these big GTs are comfortable and relatively practical with rear seats and a decent boot. It's a beautiful British classic that will undoubtedly be the talking point at any classic car show or event  and would be welcome anywhere.Specification Make: JENSEN Model: INTERCEPTOR II Year: 1970 Chassis Number: 1233736 Registration Number: SUX 879H Transmission: Automatic Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Make: RHD Interior Colour: BlackClick here for more details and images

Lot 225

An outstanding Porsche GT3 (Gen 2) with Clubsport enhancements offering the perfect combination for performance motoring. Intended primarily for competition although still fully road-legal, the Porsche 911 GT3 can trace its ancestry all the way back through a succession of high-performance models to the legendary 911 Carrera RS of 1973. The car takes its name from the FIA's GT3 category of production sports car racing and has been produced in a variety of versions since its introduction in 1999 when the GT3 badges were applied to the Type 996 iteration of the perennial 911. The 3.6-litre flat-six engine, though, departed from mainstream Type 996 practice by virtue of its water-cooled cylinders, leaving only the heads cooled by air. Called the 'Metzger' engine after its designer, Hans Metzger, this unit was closely related to that of the Porsche 962 'Sports Prototypes' and the 911 GT1 racer. In the GT3 it produced 355bhp, 59 more than in the standard 996, which was delivered to the wheels through a strengthened gearbox boasting interchangeable ratios. To make the GT3 fit for circuit use, the brakes, suspension and wheels were uprated to cope with the substantial increase in performance, whilst aerodynamic downforce was enhanced by a larger front air dam and a distinctive rear spoiler. Weight reduction extended to the removal of the rear seats and most of the sound deadening, rear speakers, sunroof, and air conditioning, though the latter could be ordered as an option, as could a CD/radio. In 2003, the 996 was facelifted (996.2) with Turbo-style headlamps, redesigned front and rear bumpers and some other external changes and, naturally, these revisions carried through to the GT3.Sourced through the Porsche Centre London, this particular UK-supplied (C16) 996.2 GT3, finished in Polar Silver with the must-have Aero Kit, is fitted with the 6-speed manual gearbox and was originally built to the 'Comfort' specification. It has now been enhanced by a number of ‘Clubsport’ upgrades providing an intriguing and rather desirable package for its next custodian. The black hide interior features leather sun visors, a suede headlining and lightweight Porsche sports seats with crests complimented by red Schroth racing harnesses, all surrounded by the Tequipment 996 roll cage fitted by JZM Porsche in 2015. They also upgraded the suspension in 2016, fitting a three-way KW Clubsport Suspension Kit providing a more dynamic ride and overall feel for the Porsche driver who wants to enjoy the GT3 experience to the max.In superb condition throughout, the car has formed part of a small eclectic Collection in recent years and has been maintained as required by its fastidious owner. It’s accompanied by a comprehensive stamped service history detailing previous works as completed by Porsche main dealers and specialists, various invoices and older MOT Certificates. Your early inspection is welcomed and encouraged to fully appreciate the impressive package on offer.Specification Make: PORSCHE Model: 996.2 GT3 Year: 2004 Chassis Number: WP0ZZZ99Z4S691157 Registration Number: LJ04 EDX Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 63425004 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 58025 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Black HideClick here for more details and images

Lot 258

Delightfully presented ex-California 911S Targa in Gemini Blue with Hollywood provenance. Production of the second-generation 911 started in August 1973 with the 1974 model/year G-series derivative replacing the outgoing 1973 F-series. Visually, the new 911 was given a major facelift and all three production variants now came with fuel-injected 2.7-litre engines. The entry level 911 had 150bhp, the mid-range 911S offered 175bhp and the flagship 911 Carrera came with 210bhp and once again, customers were given the choice of either Coupé or Targa body styles. In 1975, the H-series Carrera gained a deeper front spoiler and an (optional) IROC-style rear spoiler. The 911S was visually unchanged, however the base 911 disappeared. This left-hand drive 911S Targa was supplied by Sporting Cars of Santa Monica and registered new in February 1975 to famous Hollywood actor, Ron Harper, remaining with him until arriving in the UK in 2018. He was famous for his parts in various American films but mostly acclaimed for his role as astronaut, Alan Virdin, in TV’s Planet of the Apes. Throughout his sole ownership of 43 years, it had oil changes every 5,000 miles punctuated by his hand written notes in the service book and the mileage of only 70,674 miles is fully corroborated. When it arrived in the UK, it was subject to a full mechanical and service overhaul by Porsche Specialist Services of Havering and the extensive work included a full service, all suspension bushes, new dampers, new steering arms, gear linkage, brakes, a full ride-height set up, corner weights and a wheel alignment check. In line with European specification, the headlight units were changed. Remarkably well preserved by the Californian climate but faded in places, a full body restoration was undertaken by the renowned ‘Kraftwork Vehicle Refinishers’ of Chelmsford Essex in 2020. It was taken back to bare metal with no replacement panels required and painted in its original colour of Gemini Blue. The body has many of the factory stickers still in place. The comprehensive history file contains the original owners wallet with service book and photos of the restoration, a photo of Ron Harper with the 911S in c.2007 and invoices relating to the work done. It has its original jack, toolkit and original Blaupunkt radio with paperwork and US Title document in Ron Harper's name and will come with a full MOT showing the mileage now at c.71,327 miles.A most beautiful 911S Targa with celebrity provenance in, perhaps, the best colour combination of the 1970s.Specification Make: PORSCHE Model: 911 S Year: 1975 Chassis Number: 9115210887 Registration Number: LFM 603N Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 6550561 Drive Side: Left-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 71327 Miles Make: LHD Interior Colour: Black LeatherClick here for more details and images

Lot 264

Quite possibly the most British vehicle imaginable; a Range Rover Classic with an Aston Martin V12 heart. Fabulously detailed, in wonderful condition, a bonkers idea turned into a wonderful reality. The first-generation Range Rover, now coined the Range Rover Classic, was produced from 1970, with the two-door models remaining hugely popular to this day. Whilst certainly up-market compared to preceding Land Rover models, the early Range Rovers had rather basic, utilitarian interiors with vinyl seats and plastic dashboards that were designed to be washed down with a hose. Convenience features such as power-assisted steering, carpeted floors, air conditioning, cloth/leather seats and wooden interior trim became more common later in the production run. Marketed as 'A Car for All Reasons', the Range Rover was more capable off-road than the Land Rover and was much more comfortable, whilst also offering a top speed of almost 100mph. With the quality of performance and ‘go anywhere’ capability with timeless styling, one can easily see why the Range Rover has been the chariot of choice by the Royal Household, celebrities, military, emergency services, explorers, and everyone in between for decades. It can be argued that the car presented here hasn’t exactly taken the path of least resistance. Quite the opposite in fact… Surely one of the most exquisite projects to reach completion, this 1971 Range Rover Classic is unlike any other. The story starts with the team at Bishops 4x4 sitting having a beer after work when a conversation sprung up about what engine to transplant into one of their ‘restoration stock’ which already had an incorrect powerplant. With the boss, Chris Bishop, having a huge appreciation for Aston Martin, but at the time without one in the garage, it became almost inevitable that a Range Rover/Aston Martin ‘lovechild’ was on the horizon. The technical specifications paint quite the picture on the level of creativity and craftsmanship the Bishops 4x4 team put into the car. Almost every single aspect has been improved, upgraded, or strengthened to end up with a fabulous cocktail of Britishness that will likely never be repeated, certainly not to this level. The car was essentially built as a showcase for what Bishops 4x4 could do, and while they knew it would be a long project, I don’t think anyone imagined it would take the next 2.5 years of full-time work to complete. The base car was a 1971 Range Rover ‘Suffix A’ that was in dire need of restoration, already housing an incorrect engine, and the Aston Martin DB7 V12 powerplant was selected for a few reasons. Firstly, the boss has a soft spot for Aston Martins, especially the V12s. Secondly it was the biggest and best power unit they could lay their hands on, with 420bhp and 400lb/ft torque, even if the crashed donor car did cost over £5,000 alone. Thirdly, and hugely importantly, it was because they were told it couldn’t be done. Clearly this was time for a “Challenge accepted” mentality.A monstrous amount of engineering went into the build of the car. The front portion of the chassis rails had to have cut-out sections put into them before re-welding with strengthening bars to compensate for the narrower rails. Due to the size of the V12, a significant proportion of the engine needed to sit under/through the scuttle in order to fit, which meant measuring, cutting and re-welding for weeks on end, with an emphasis on precision and tidiness, striving for a factory-like finish. Even with the cutting and remodelling, the engine still didn’t fit as it was, so the alternator was repositioned, which meant re-routing the ancillary drive-belt and making custom idlers to suit, with the coolant hoses and fuel pipes also requiring custom manufacturing.Supporting the modified chassis were a pair of stronger Defender-type axles with heavy-duty springs and Bilstein dampers. The front axle was then fitted with over £3,000 worth of AP Racing stopping power in the form of dinner plate-sized 362mm grooved and vented discs, with 6-piston callipers. The brakes were housed by 18-inch 5-spoke wheels with 285/65/18 Toyo Proxes tyres all-round. Due to their beefy size the tops of the arches had to be flared and the bottom of the wings altered to house them. Of course, cutting no corners, the flared arches were made up in-house from alloy. To assist its breathing, the inlet tubes were made up with free-flowing air filters feeding the inlet manifold, with the in-house custom stainless steel exhaust system fabricated in its entirety from the manifolds back. With the major mechanical complexities dealt with, it was then time to make the car run. A pair of tuneable ECUs were purchased, one for each bank of cylinders, which were then mapped to the Aston Martin factory ECU, as well as having a ‘Compushift’ mapping session for the 4-speed Ashcroft upgraded Land Rover ZF gearbox. The grille, now with twin headlights, was installed as an homage to the grandfathers of modifying and improving Range Rovers, Schuler and Overfinch, which certainly gives the car a distinctive look, if you somehow saw it before you heard it!Due to being a radically altered vehicle, instead of simply stating it had an alternative engine fitted and chancing it with the DVLA, Bishops 4x4 went down the V627/1 route, had the DVLA inspect the car and issue a Q-plate to reflect the changes. The exterior was painted in 4 layers of Bishops 4x4’s signature dark maroon colour, with a subtle grey roof. Three Aston Martin badges were fitted, one to each wing and one on the tailgate. The ‘piece de resistance’ is the airbrushed Union Jack flag on the bonnet, trailing up the wings, which took around two weeks to complete, but done so to embody the ‘Best of British’ theme the car truly represents. The interior is wonderful. It has been completed to an extremely high quality, commensurate with the external and mechanical work. It’s ultimately a blend of original and bespoke. With Range Rover seats retrimmed in soft brown leather and thick brown wool carpeting throughout. The dashboard is a wooden Wood and Pickett dash, from the workshop stock, modified to house an Aston Martin DB9 push button starter in the centre, flanked by a pair of chrome-rimmed gauges.Turning on the radio causes two Aston Martin tweeters to rise out the top of the dash, and the digital dash displays a virtual representation of the instruments from a Range Rover Classic featuring a rev counter, speedo, etc. By pushing the sport button, the dash changes the dials to represent what you see on an Aston Martin dashboard, again all digitally presented. The final touch was the build plate on the slam panel which reads AMRR007001, giving a shared nod to both the Range Rover host and the Aston Martin heart and soul.It is not unfair to say that the whole project was brain-numbingly complex, and yet what a fantastically wonderful machine has emerged. The craftsmanship is simply unbelievable and needs to be seen in person. With the Range Rover being marketed as 'A Car for All Reasons', the reason for this is surely ‘Because we can’.You do not want to miss the opportunity to see this car in person. While the phrase ‘unrepeatable’ gets thrown around fairly frequently in the car world, I challenge anyone to say they could repeat this car, to this standard, in that timeframe, and offer it at such a reasonable estimate.SpecificationClick here for more details and images

And still we find them - one registered lady owner from new and just 14,975 miles, remarkable. Built at Subaru's Fuji Heavy Industries plant in Japan and honed by rally 'royalty', Prodrive, the Impreza P1 was always destined to become the hugely desirable modern classic that we rightfully see it as today. Built in a limited run of 1,000 examples, all were painted in Sonic Blue and using the WRX STi Type R as a base, Prodrive engineers installed the anti-roll bars from the European-specification Impreza Turbo, along with firmer springs and shock absorbers, to deliver a suspension set up better suited to continental roads. They were powered by a revised version of the rally engine with re-calibrated electronics and developing no less than 280bhp, 69bhp more than the standard Impreza Turbo. The cars also featured ABS, as well as the Peter Stevens-designed anthracite OZ Racing wheels, front spoiler and rear wing.On offer here is a very exciting and perhaps unrepeatable find. This P1 is a UK-supplied, right-hand drive example sold new by Keith Price Garages Ltd of Abergavenny, Monmouthshire in March 2001 to its one and only registered keeper, a lady who lived locally. It was enjoyed sparingly with less and less use as the years went on and as a result, the odometer read just 14,975 miles at the time of cataloguing. She kept the car for 22 years until it then came into the possession of our vendor, who enjoys a significant private Collection. He has not registered or used the car under his ownership and a change in direction for the Collection means that the P1 is now available for its next lucky owner. The history file includes the car's V5C (showing no former keepers), the dealer book pack with additional P1 literature, the service book with three stamps, some Tracker correspondence and a number of old MOTs. The car presents as you would expect for such low mileage and the original radio is included with the car. So rare is it to find such a low ownership/low mileage example that Octane magazine carried out an in-depth feature on the car, in their May 2023 edition. It's hard to find an Impreza P1 in today’s market, regardless of condition, so to find one in this condition with this provenance is almost in the realms of mythology. With soaring prices of Japanese Domestic Market cars, and 22Bs heading well north of £100,000 in recent years, this P1 may well be an unrepeatable opportunity, and is perfect for any discerning collector, enthusiast or purist.Specification Make: SUBARU Model: IMPREZA Year: 2001 Chassis Number: JF1GM8KDGYG003407 Registration Number: Y131 GHB Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 888492 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 14986 Miles Make: RHDClick here for more details and images

**Please note the car is not fitted with the dog ring gearbox but a CAE short shifter kit fitted by Pro Alfa. **A smart example of Abarth's ultimate FIAT 500 development, the 190bhp 695 Biposto optioned with the £8,500 'Dog Ring' gearbox. In recent years, Abarth has essentially become to FIAT what Alpina is to BMW; a high-performance 'skunkworks' division that takes something good and makes it great. Based on the cute and much-loved 500, the Abarth 500 came first, then the 595 Competizione and finally, at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, they launched the 695 Biposto. The Biposto designation comes from the Italian for 'two seats', indicating its focus on performance. The car has gained notoriety for its unique and engaging driving experience and one of its key features was the phenomenally expensive optional 'Dog Ring' gearbox, developed by Bacci Romano. The 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine was lifted straight from Abarth’s 695 Assetto Corsa race car, with a 10bhp power increase over the Abarth 500 and 595 to 190bhp and 184lb/ft of torque. Fitted with an Akrapovic dual-stage exhaust with twin titanium tailpipes, 0-60mph takes just 5.9 seconds on the way to 143mph, retardation is provided by high-performance Brembo brakes and stability is assisted by a mechanical self-locking diff.Visually, the Biposto has a distinctive look with a large rear spoiler, carbon front and rear diffusers, lightweight OZ 18" alloy wheels, a new front bumper, wider arches and new side-skirts. Buyers could have it in any colour they like, as long as it was Matte Performance Grey. The car is incredibly light, weighing in at 974kg dry with the interior being somewhat spartan, with a tiny hint of luxury. It features leather and Alcantara Sabelt Abarth Corsa racing bucket seats with 695 stitching, optional carbon shells, a titanium rear brace by Poggipolini and carbon fibre door panels. No radio or air conditioning with the focus on saving weight. This 2016 example presents incredibly well, arguably even better than new, due to its recently reupholstered interior and is thankfully fitted with the all-important Dog Ring gearbox. It has covered a mere 16,200 miles from new in the hands of its three owners and comes with a full-service history, with another service undertaken to prepare it for sale, along with a fresh MOT. The car is fully ceramic-coated with its callipers re-coloured to the Biposto 220 branding. It’s finished in the usual Matte Grey paintwork with Lime Green details and bronze wheels. The interior has been fabulously upgraded with tan leather seats, the gear shift surround, door cards and carpets and these features make this little pocket-rocket stand out for all the right reasons, as if the £8,500 gearbox wasn’t already enough of a standout feature.Having partaken in just two half-day track sessions, our vendor has shamelessly been bitten by the track day bug and with the Biposto’s bigger Italian brother having already arrived, it is time for the Abarth to find its next home.Presumably due to cost, only a small number ever left the factory with this amazing gearbox, making it a sought after collector's item. So seldom seen in the UK, with examples fetching comfortably north of £35,000 globally, this very attractively priced little Italian jewel could be a fun addition for any Collection or enthusiast.SpecificationMake: ABARTHModel: 695 BIPOSTOYear: 2016Chassis Number: ZFA3120000J375297Registration Number: AP16 ZYFTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 1960160Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 16200 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Tan LeatherClick here for more details and images

**During pre-sale investigation with Ferrari specialists, despite fitting of a new thermos switch, radiator flush and more the car does still run hot and will require further investigation**A delightful example of the Daytona's more approachable sister, 40 years with its previous keeper, 56,000 miles and a plethora of history including the original Maranello order form. One of the rarest Ferrari models ever produced, particularly in right-hand drive, the 365 GTC/4 was developed to meet the ever-growing demand among Ferrari's clientele for high-performance Grand Tourers with space for four passengers. It was introduced in March 1971 to replace the 365 GTC, which had been phased out two years earlier. The chassis of the 365 GTC/4 was essentially that of the 365 GTB Daytona, albeit stretched an additional 100mm for extra cabin room and Pininfarina's newly introduced wind tunnel obviously played a part in the car's sinuous and streamlined shape with no panels shared with other models in the range. The bodywork was steel with aluminium doors and motivation was courtesy of the Daytona's 4.4-litre DOHC V12, slightly softened to produce 340bhp, and fuelled by side-draft, twin-choke Webers allowing a lower bonnet line. Weight distribution was almost perfect at 51:49 thanks to the 5-speed gearbox and alloy bell-housing being set well back in the chassis. Around 500 examples were built over an 18 month period and, according to online sources, some 41 365 GTC/4s were produced in right-hand drive, with only 31 of those being destined for British shores.Amongst the many invoices, MOTs etc. contained in this car’s fascinating history file is a letter from Ferrari dated 20th January 1972 to Maranello Concessionaires confirming Order Number 562 'One Ferrari 365/GTC.4 Coupé. PF. RHD, complete with five alloy wheels and tyres and one toolkit'. It confirms that the car was to be finished in Marrone Colorado (2.443.221) and trimmed in beige hide (VM 3218) with beige carpets. The options from new were listed as 'Air conditioning and Voxson 'Sonar' Radio with an electric antenna'.It’s first owner was a Mr Billy Skelly of Skelly’s of Motherwell who apparently was 'particularly small' and required a 'wooden steering wheel' (presumably wood-rim) that suited his stature. There are various items of correspondence between Maranello Concessionaires and Ferrari until the matter was resolved. The original order is in the file as is the invoice (20th June 1972) showing a purchase price of £8,250 less a discount of £1,292.25, which seems substantial. However, after purchase tax etc., Mr Skelly paid a total of £8,700 for his brand new 365 GTC/4. Further correspondence in the file includes an invoice from Hexagon of Highgate for warranty work including a new clutch on 21st August 1973 with a mileage of 10,176, a letter and invoice from Mark Konig (14th February 1974) to Sydney Haynes for £6,125 (the car's second owner), a number of invoices over the years for maintenance etc. to a Mr Louis Cassoni of Lancaster Mews up until 1989, and various MOTs, the most recent being on 26th May 1989 with a stated mileage of 55,987.We believe that it was around this time that #15991 was put into long-term storage where it remained until recently and understand that the previous owner, Mr Cassoni, commenced a stalled recommissioning of the car with specialists back in 2022 but not a great deal was achieved before its purchase by our vendor. However, it has since been subject to further works by leading marque specialists, Foskers, including a tidy-up of the exhaust system, the carburettors 'sonic-cleaned', rebalanced and tuned, substantial work to the brakes (all flexible brake hoses, new pads), cooling system (hoses, clamps, fans), self-levelling shock absorbers rebuilt, air-con belts, various suspension components have been re-bushed and painted etc., new fuel pumps, four new tyres and much more. The invoice for this work is in the car’s history file and totals £17,719.Not surprisingly, the original 1972 radio was replaced by a more modern example but it does have its original toolkit, jack kit, handbooks and even the original warranty card, very rare in a car of this era.According to our vendor 'A considerable amount of work has already been carried out, the car drives, runs and stops with new tyres etc. It idles nicely and the gauges work etc. but it will require further recommissioning to restore it to its former glory'.This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiast to acquire and enjoy an incredibly rare 1970s classic Ferrari and to bring it back to its absolute best might just be a mission worthy of investment.SpecificationMake: FERRARIModel: 365 GTC/4Year: 1973Chassis Number: 15991Registration Number: EIW 365Transmission: ManualDrive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 56210 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: LeatherClick here for more details and images

On offer from single-family ownership, this exceptionally original XJ-S V12 Convertible has covered a mere 11,560 miles from new. The XJ-S Convertible, which first appeared in 1988 at a price of £36,000, was considerably more than merely a coupé with the roof removed. The earlier ''T'-top' Cabriolet paved the way as the first open Jaguar since the departure of the E-Type in 1975, but this was to be the first full convertible and a strengthened sub-frame was employed in order to alleviate scuttle shake. It looked superb and elegant with the hood erect or folded and finally met the demands of the highly valued North American market. Retaining the roomy cockpit space of the coupé, the new convertible boasted a useful shelf for extra luggage and all the expected Jaguar refinements as standard. The XJ-S' superb 5.3-litre V12 developed some 295bhp in later fuel-injected form and even when allied to an automatic transmission, the car was capable of a genuine 150mph and made for a fine open-top 'Grand Touring' car. This wonderful time warp example was originally supplied to a local gentleman by Jaguar Daimler dealer, Hartwell’s of Oxford, in August of 1989 finished in Signal Red with a Magnolia leather interior. Remarkably, it has remained with this family up until now and currently presents in exceptionally original condition thanks to their care storing the car respectfully and carefully in comfortable garaging. It’s supplied with a comprehensive history file telling the story of its life, including the original service book with eight stamps from 971 miles to 9,686 miles (main dealer servicing continued as seen on invoices on file, 2014 at 10,098 miles, 2015 at 10,259 miles, 2017 at 10,525 miles, 2022 at 10,977 miles), maintenance and service invoices, the Jaguar Guarantee, insurance certificates, the original purchase invoice and its MOT history, all serving to confirm the indicated mileage of just under 11,600.The meticulous accumulation of history with this car truly illustrates the conscientious manner in which it has been cherished. The next owner can learn and enjoy the car via its original Jaguar-supplied Stereo Radio owner's guide cassette tape, before storing this delightful XJ-S away under its original softshell indoor car cover. Rare with this low ownership and low mileage, this is a fine example of an appreciating Classic Jaguar. N.B. Please note the cherished registration number A909 RW in our photographs is not included and will be retained by the vendor.Specification Make: JAGUAR Model: XJS Year: 1989 Chassis Number: SAJJNADW3DB158528 Registration Number: G481 AFW Transmission: Auto Engine Number: 8S065618SA Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 11560 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: MagnoliaClick here for more details and images
