Film - - Hansemanns Traumfahrt. Very rare edition of the picture story, possibly the model for the radio commercial film by Georg Woelz and Gerhard Krüger, created in 1938 in the Agfa bipack colour film process for Commerz-Film A.G.. The 15-minute film was an advertising film for Telefunken radios.

Indian Independence.- Gandhi (Mohandas Karamchand) Songs from Prison, first edition, "Mirabehn"'s copy, signed ownership inscription from Mirabehn with a quote from Ghandi to front endpaper, scattered spotting to initial leaves, original printed wrappers, toned, with a few light stains, some wear to spine, 8vo, 1934.⁂ Lovely association copy from a close British disciple of Mahatma Gandhi. Mirabehn (1892-1982), born Madeleine Slade, was a British supporter of the Indian Independence Movement; arriving in India in 1925, for the next 34 years she submitted herself to Gandhi's instruction, living a traditional life in ashrams across the country. Arrested often, including a two-year stint from August 1942 along with Gandhi and many Congress leaders for the 'Quit India' movement launch, she spent her time in prison with other female independence activists for example, Kasturba, Gandhi's wife and Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay. She accompanied Gandhi to the Round Table Conference (London, 1931), while in 1934 she returned west to promote Indian Independence, speaking in London, Wales, Lancashire and Newcastle, before continuing to the US where she addressed 22 gatherings, and 5 radio broadcasts over a fortnight. She met with Prime Minister David Lloyd George, Winston Churchill and First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. The signed inscription here dates from her UK tour, reading "'Truth is god' M.K. Ghandi. Mira, Stafford, 18.7.34"

Duga Radar Valves, 2 large glass valves originally from the Duga over the horizon radar system, each with Russian markings, the largest 28cm tall. Duga (Russian: Дуга́, lit. 'arc' or 'curve') was an over-the-horizon radar (OTH) system utilized by the Soviet Union for missile defense as part of its early-warning radar network. It was operational from July 1976 to December 1989. The duga system consisted of two radars, one located near Chernobyl and Chernihiv in the Ukrainian SSR (present-day Ukraine) and the other in eastern Siberia (present-day Russia). The duga system was a highly powerful radar, with a transmission capacity of over 10 MW, and it operated in the shortwave radio frequency range. Due to the intermittent nature of its emissions, characterized by sharp, repetitive tapping noises at a frequency of 10 Hz, it acquired the nickname "Russian Woodpecker" among shortwave listeners. This unpredictable frequency shifting often disrupted legitimate broadcasts, amateur radio operations, oceanic commercial aviation communications, and utility transmissions, leading to numerous complaints from many countries worldwide. The interference caused by the signal was significant enough that certain communications receivers started incorporating "Woodpecker Blankers" into their circuit designs to mitigate the impact.
