Official UK press car and one of 53 right-hand drive examplesSuperbly presented in Grand Prix White with Guards Red Fuchs alloys LSD, 5-speed G50, shortened gear lever, Sport shock absorbers, top-tinted screen Official UK Porsche GB press car. Extensive history file. 89,700 milesFull-service history. Certificate of Authenticity. Original bill of sale. Both original keysWhen Porsche wanted to build a 9112.7 RS for the 1980's, it came up with the Carrera 3.2 Club Sport, a car which ~ like an RS has gone on to become a sought-after classic. In common with its RS predecessor, the key to the Club Sport is lightness. Without going crazy, Porsche shaved around 40kg off the standard car's 1210kg. This was done by omitting unnecessary 'luxuries' including electric windows, rear seats, rear wiper, radio, rear quarter panels, door pocket lids, central locking, engine-and luggage-compartment lights, passenger sun visor, underseal (although some UK cars retained some protection), some sound-deadening (that in the engine bay and roof lining remained), and even the coat hooks. There were manual heater controls (as fitted on earlier 911s) instead of an automatic thermostat system, whilst air-conditioning was deleted in markets where that was standard. In addition, the car was fitted with a lighter starter motor, simplified (and therefore lighter) wiring loom, and an alloy spare wheel. Despite the reduced specification, the Club Sport's interior was far from austere, with full carpeting (including over the rear seat area) and comfortable pinstripe fabric seats, although some examples had leather seats. Mechanically, the car retained the standard 3.2 engine, albeit blueprinted, fitted with lighter hollow inlet valves, and located on stiffer mounts. A revised engine management system increased the rev limit from 6520rpm to 6840rpm but, bizarrely, Porsche didn't claim any increase in power over the standard engine's 231bhp. The power was fed through a G50 gearbox with a shorter throw and taller fourth and fifth gears, and a limited-slip differential. Suspension, meanwhile, was uprated with nothing more than Bilstein gas dampers all round. The majority of Club Sport's were finished in Grand Prix White with the option of large 'Carrera CS' side decals in Guards Red. The Fuchs alloy wheels usually had matching red centres, but could also be specified in black or white. Only 340 Club Sports were built, with 53 right-hand-drive examples coming to the UK, where road testers received it with open arms; Motor claimed it to be the fastest 911 it had driven, and good value at some £3,000 cheaper than the standard car.The example we have here is finished in Grand Prix White and Black leatherette with pinstripe black seats. As a factory Club Sport, it comes with an LSD, 5-speed G50 gearbox, shortened gear lever, forged alloy wheels, 'Sport' shock absorbers, top tinted windscreen, and Clubsport Equipment. It also retains its original Blaupunkt radio cassette. This stunning 3.2 Club Sport (number 22 out of the 53 RHD UK cars delivered) was supplied through JCT600 in Bradford to Porsche themselves and subsequently became the official Press Car as confirmed by the history file. This is a superb read and even includes an original press release (addressed to Mr Tony Dron no less!). The car has been sold throughout the years by both Porsche themselves and well respected Porsche specialists. The service history mirrors this and dates all the way back to the initial 'Running-in' service, with invoices to verify from the current day back to 1992. Currently owned and loved by Silverstone Auctions M-D, Nick Whale, under his ownership the Club Sport has been maintained by respected Porsche Specialists, Tuthill Porsche, and was last serviced in 2019, with invoices on file. The original invoice from Porsche GB to the first private owner is also included. Supplied with all the history detailed above, the Porsche CoA, the stamped original service booklet and 2 original keys. The 3.2 Club Sport is a very rare machine, a desirable 80s Porsche for the serious collector and tipped to seriously increase in value. It is a true drivers car ~ and one with such an interesting history is surely the one to own.You can now book a one to one appointment (up to one hour) to view this lot at our central location between 16th and 30th July. A simply stunning example of the R129 with only 16,000 miles from newFinished in special order Blue Violet Mica with an unmarked Mushroom leather interiorFull factory-fitted AMG body kit and super-rare OZ AMG alloy wheelsPanoramic roof, memory seats and a wood/leather steering wheelSupplied with its original dealer book packPlease note number plate J86102 is not included in the saleThe R129-Series of Mercedes-Benz SL roadsters were produced from 1989 through 2002 and replaced the R107 in 1989 and were, in turn, replaced by the R230 SL-Class in 2002 for the 2003 model year. They were two-door, two-seat convertibles with an automated (electro-hydraulic), collapsible textile roof, with a shell-like, colour matched, tonneau cover. All 129s came standard with an aluminium detachable hardtop that was fitted by folding the canvas roof down and manually attaching the hardtop. Designed in 1984, the R129 was based on the shortened floor pan of the Mercedes-Benz W124 and featured many innovative details for the time, including electronically controlled damping (Adaptive Damping System ADS) and a hidden, automatically-extending, roll-over bar for safety. The number of standard features was high, with electric operation for the windows, mirrors, seats and hydraulic convertible top, all of which paved the way towards the more innovative roof design we see today. With its 5-speed automatic gearbox coupled to a 231 bhp, 3.2-litre engine, the SL320 offered a top speed of 150 mph. This superb example is finished in special order Blue Violet Mica over Mushroom leather, was ordered with a particularly high-spec and was supplied new to Jacksons-Mercedes-Benz in Jersey in 1998. Being resident in Jersey and spending time in a private collection explains why the car has only covered a genuine 16,086 miles. The SL has been kept in dry storage for the last few years only coming out on dry sunny days. It's rare to find an example with the AMG Styling pack and the AMG OZ Aero wheels were a very expensive option at the time. Prior to been put into storage, the vehicle had a full service with an M-B specialist in Jersey and further rectification work in the UK was carried out by Mercedes specialist 'IN Autos' in East Grinstead, where around £5,000 was spent to bring the vehicle back to a very high standard. It was most recently serviced in October 2017 after which it was placed in storage. It's accompanied by its Owner's Manual and the stamped service book and a NOVA Certificate showing that all UK Taxes have been paid.Detailed Factory Specification:241 FRONT SEAT LH ELECTRIC ADJUSTABLE WITH MEMORY242 FRONT SEAT RH ELECTRIC ADJUSTABLE WITH MEMORY284 SELECTOR LEVER, WOOD289 WOOD/LEATHER STEERING-WHEEL415 GLASS ROOF (R129)441 ADJUSTABLE STEERING COLUMN461 INSTRUMENT WITH MILES IND. One US owner and one UK owner from new and just 25,850 miles.Bought directly from the first US owner and registered in the UK in 2017 by our vendorA manual gearbox car with 25,850 miles (atoc) and an MOT until June 2021Detailed history file that includes invoices, handbooks and service booksFitted car cover, original owners kit and the V5c showing one former keeperThe DeLorean DMC-12 is acknowledged as a must-have for any enthusiast and very few are just two owners from new.The DeLorean DMC-12 was a ground-breaking, innovative sports car manufactured by John DeLorean's 'DeLorean Motor Company' for the American market from 1981-83. The car featured gull-wing doors and an unusual fibreglass chassis and underbody structure, along with a brushed stainless steel body and is probably most widely known for its appearance as a time machine in the 'Back to the Future' film trilogy. It was designed by the talented Giorgetto Giugiaro of Ital Design and built on a chassis engineered by Lotus with a 2.9-litre V6 engine sourced from Peugeot-Renault-Volvo. This rare, five-speed manual example was manufactured in Belfast in 1981, shipped to the United States and remained with the first owner in Florida until being purchased directly from him by our vendor. Registered in the UK to the importing shipping agent on 1st May 2017, the car was subsequently registered to our vendor three days later on the 4th May.The car features the desirable grey leather interior, as seen in the movie car, original radio and clock with no apparent cracking to the dashboard which is a common fault with the DMC-12. The history file is extensive and includes the service history, a copy of the purchase agreement, original cleaning kit, original spare wheel, DMC cover, and a large quantity of American paperwork relating to servicing works. To this consignor's eye, the alloys wheels could do with being refurbished to correct the surface reaction. Supplied to auction with an MOT valid until June 2021 and a UK V5C.You can now book a one to one appointment (up to one hour) to view this lot at our central location between 16th and 30th July. Lot 407

One of only 107 Mk II cars with the sportier 6.2-litre V8 and now superbly restoredSold through Newbury Motors of Halesowen in January 1971 to Mr DE Sharpe of ScunthorpePurchased by Ian Orford, Managing Director of Jensen Cars Ltd. in 1987 but not usedFully restored between 2015 - 2018 when it was returned to its original colour of Pimpernel RedUpgrades included a Retrosounds DAB radio, iPod connectivity and modern cooling fansRecently treated by our vendor to a back-to-metal, glass-out respray at a cost of £15,000 and a set of the correct alloy wheels with Michelin XWX tyresGood history file, parts invoices, DVLA vehicle records, MOT to June 2020 with no advisories, vehicle build & specification sheet and a full photographic compilation of its restorationUnveiled in 1966, at the London Motor Show, the Jensen FF was immediately voted 'Car of the Year' by the motoring press based on its outstanding technical ability. "FF" stood for Ferguson Formula, the four-wheel-drive system developed by Harry Ferguson for racing cars, that split the torque unequally between the front and rear wheels to give the car unheard of handling qualities for a big GT car of the mid-60s. This combined with Dunlop Maxaret anti-lock braking - another first - is what led the pundits to call the FF the "World's safest car".In October 1969, a significant number of improvements heralded the arrival of the 'MkII'. The newcomer incorporated revised front suspension and Girling brakes as well as a new front bumper and countless minor alterations, however, the main improvement was a completely redesigned interior featuring a new dashboard and seats. Mechanical changes to the FF kept abreast of those made to the standard Interceptor, although, there were numerous subtle differences, the most obvious being the FF's twin side vents. Looking almost identical to the standard Interceptor, it was actually nine inches longer in the bonnet to accommodate the extra space needed for a front differential. Priced at around 30% above the Interceptor, itself not a cheap car, the FF was the privilege of a wealthy few, and when production ceased in 1972 only 302 had been made. This 1971 FF was originally ordered in late 1970 from Jensen by German Distributor GHS, however, plans subsequently changed and the car was prepared for the UK Market and sold through Newbury Motors of Halesowen in January 1971 to Mr DE Sharpe of Starco Engineering, Scunthorpe. It's original registration number was PWP 646J and the history file shows various warranty claims and a regular service voucher at 36,000 miles in 1973.Little is known of the car during the intervening years until it was purchased and registered to Mrs Atterbury of Brierley Hill in 1979 until mid-1980 when her husband became the registered keeper until June 1987. The car was subsequently purchased by Ian Orford, Managing Director of Jensen Cars Ltd. in 1987 and at this point, it appears that the car had been repainted blue with a vinyl roof and acquired the registration 6 DNX. For some reason, the FF was left languishing at the rear of the Jensen Motors Ltd. Kelvin Way factory partially dismantled until it was rescued in 1989 by a Mr Winter of Sevenoaks. Winter retained the car until he passed away in 2003 when his good friend and renowned Jensen enthusiast Tom Scullane purchased the car and in 2004, his daughter passed the car onto the owner prior to our vendor. The FF was dry-stored for a number of years before being fully restored between 2015-2018 when it was returned to its original colour of Pimpernel Red. The defective speedometer was changed during this time. The restoration was comprehensive with many NOS panels and a new floor, stainless steel fuel tank and new bumpers. On the mechanical side, the gearbox and engine were rebuilt, the latter by Geoff Hauser, the braking system was fully overhauled, whilst the interior was beautifully refurbished with seat belts front and rear. Subtle modern upgrades included a Retrosounds DAB radio, with iPod and telephone connectivity, and upgraded modern cooling fans. In all, there are invoices on file for more than £20,000. Finally, back on its feet, this well-travelled FF was purchased by our vendor, lightly used and dry-stored for a short period before he, in turn, felt the need to take the FF up to another level with a full, back-to-metal, glass-out respray at a cost of £15,000 and a set of the correct alloy wheels with Michelin XWX tyres.A well-kept history file accompanies the car and contains parts invoices, DVLA vehicle records for the car when on its' previous plate '6 DNX', the V5c, an MOT to June 2020 with no advisories, vehicle build & spec sheet and a full photographic compilation of its restoration. The MkII Jensen FF (of which just 107 were made) is widely considered to be the best of the lot, fitted as it is with the sportier 6.2-litre V8 rather than the softer 7.2-litre unit of the MkIII. This has to be one of the best of the few FFs still in existence in freshly restored condition and, with this rare model continuing to strengthen in the market, may well be a shrewd investment! You can now book a one to one appointment (up to one hour) to view this lot at our central location between 16th and 30th July. The fabled Miura 'Spinto Veloce' in right-hand drive, an incredible opportunityThe ultimate spec MiuraOne of 147 SVs built in total and one of the final 94 split-sump carsOne of only 11 right-hand drive carsFull European spec when newDesirable factory fitted A/C, LSD and Radio Pack optionsFully documented 32,014 miles (51,523km) from new with recent service, fuel system overhaul, rebuild read brake cylinders and fresh MOT (30/06/2020)The SV was the final evolution and considered the most desirable Miura with only 147 manufactured within a total of 762 built. Of these 147, it is the final 94 cars supplied with the split-sump engine, such as this car, that is considered to be the absolute best.Completed on the 31st of March 1972, Chassis 5036 was originally ordered via Italian concessionaire Interauto, produced to European specification and delivered new, in left-hand drive, to regular Lamborghini client Antonio Spada of Brescia. This important fact does allow any future owner the possibility to convert back to left-hand drive where there is a far larger worldwide market, should they so desire. Original features recorded include a Rosso Corsa exterior finish, optional factory-fitted air conditioning, limited-slip differential and a radio pack. Latest research records that just nine right-drive SVs were originally commissioned and built new. The Australian Lamborghini importer was desperate to acquire two right-hand drive cars quickly for clients, so to avoid the inevitable delay in build time, the recently completed chassis 5036 and 5002 were purchased. They were both immediately, and clearly professionally, converted to right-hand drive, ahead of being shipped as effectively new, right-hand drive Miura SVs as, at the time, it was not permitted to bring a left-hand drive car into Australia. These cars, therefore, add two further examples to the tally of the original right-hand drive cars supplied worldwide. For anyone lucky enough to have sat in or indeed driven a Miura, for taller people the tight space and close throttle pedal are immediately apparent, but amazingly this car's right-hand-drive set up allows noticeably more room and comfort.According to the accompanying Build Log Slip, 5036 was Production Number 717, with the corresponding Bertone body number of 817, finished to European spec, fitted with Engine Number 30715 and, importantly is a split-sump car (1 of 94). It confirms the car still retains all it's original build details; finished in Rosso Corsa and Nero and was factory fitted with an LSD, air-conditioning, and a Radio Pack with roof aerial. When it arrived in Australia in late 1972/early 1973, 5036 was acquired by Dennis/Laurie O'Neal of Sydney, a well-known enthusiast who almost immediately sold it to Peter Opie of Sydney, who retained it for a short while before selling it to Queensland businessman, Gerry Kent, in 1975. The Miura remained with Mr Kent for nearly 29 years, retaining the car until his passing in 2004. His wife sold the SV to Lamborghini Australia with an indicated mileage of 48,708km. In a 'well enjoyed' state at the time, 5036 was substantially re-commissioned by the official importer at great cost, with the works performed by Carle Rheinberger, a Lamborghini specialist in Queensland, with the fully detailed bills on file commencing on 26th April 2004 to 26th January 2005 and totalling AUD 80,424. The work included the removal of the fuel tank and all fuel lines, refurbishment of the fuel tank, a complete suspension refurbishment, and the cleaning and re-coating of the chassis. The engine was fully checked over, and the cylinder heads were overhauled with the camshafts reground. In addition, the air conditioner was overhauled and re-gassed, the brake lines were renewed, and new brake discs and pads were fitted. The next owner was Rory Johnston, also of Sydney, who acquired 5036 directly from Lamborghini Sydney on 29th September 2006, actually selling his house to facilitate the purchase. The transaction was finalised on 20th October and the ownership change notified at 48,067 km (29,867 miles) that same day, with all documents on file. He reports that he enjoyed the Miura for a number of outings and events prior to, in May 2010, commissioning a Melbourne-based specialist to completely rebuild the engine at a cost of AUD 77,543. The original pistons were found to remain virtually perfect, so just new rings were fitted. The crankshaft was machined and reground, the cylinder heads were rebuilt, the engine bay received some detailing and the cooling system was refurbished. In addition, the air conditioning system was serviced and re-gassed, the ignition system was refurbished and properly set up and a set of new tyres were added. This work was carried out by Terzini Motore in Victoria at a mileage of 50,950km (31,658 miles) - so just 356 miles have been covered since. In 2010, the Miura was imported to the UK and soon sold to one of the world's most significant collections. Later, the decision was made to strip off all the exterior paint, now showing it age and refinish the car in its original colour. In 2019, the current owner sent the car to respected expert Bob Houghton to check through and fully service.Today the Miura SV remains in highly original and correctly-maintained condition, with its rare and highly desirable original specification including factory-fitted air conditioning, a limited-slip differential and a factory fitted radio with aerial. A repaint in the original Rosso Corsa has freshened the image, while the original interior remains hugely evocative. With Kidston SA's long-awaited, limited edition "The Lamborghini MIURA Book" bound to create renewed interest in this icon and currently going to press, numbered edition '717' has already been reserved and will be supplied with this car. Miura BookWith this example having been chosen as the cover car for CAR Magazine's 'Celebration of the Supercar' issue, the outrageous Italian supercar is celebrated as the one that set the template for almost every great automotive performance icon since. You can now book a one to one appointment (up to one hour) to view this lot at our central location between 16th and 30th July. A 'C16' UK-supplied right-hand drive Targa Super Sport and only 13,874 miles from newUK supplied 'C16', right-hand drive 911 Targa SuperSport (M491) with just 13,874 miles Presented in outstanding condition with gleaming black paintwork and black piped red sports leather seatsSpecified with options including a Blaupunkt cassette-radio, electric sports seats and top-tint screenDetailed history file including Porsche book pack with original service book, a wealth of invoices, COA and old MOTsCarefully sourced for a significant collection, perhaps the best remaining UK SuperSport and a very rare opportunityFirst registered on 1 January 1989 and supplied new by official Porsche Centre JCT600, Leeds, this 911 Carrera Targa had been specified in black paint with black electric leather sports. Options also included M491 Turbo-Look wide body also known as SuperSport Equipment, recoil bumpers, Blaupunkt Toronto radio cassette, electric leather sports seats, rear wiper, 8-speaker system with amp, and top tint screen, an impressive list. The M491 SSE (Turbo-look) option offered wider wheel arches, rear spoiler and wider Fuchs wheels in addition to cross-drilled discs with four-piston aluminium callipers and suspension taken directly from the 930 Turbo.Today, this rare 911 variant still presents in showroom condition, having covered a mere 13,874 miles and it's evident that this example has been correctly maintained and stored over the years. Accompanied by a detailed history folder including its Porsche book pack containing the original service book with regular entries from main agents and marque specialists. The file also contains a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a wealth of invoices and old MOT Certificates all supporting the very low mileage. The SSE option was an expensive box to tick back in the 80s and, as a result, few cars left the factory with this upgrade so consequently this variant is highly sought after. Offered here is an example that should, and probably will become part of another collection, preserved and maintained for future generations to see and admire. This car has formed part of a significant collection for the past few years. In preparation for the sale, the engine will be flushed, filled with fresh oil and a new filter fitted, the fuel tank drained, flushed and filled with 20 litres of fuel, fitted with a new battery and issued with a fresh MOT Certificate. A safety check will also be carried out along with an inspection report included in the history file. You can now book a one to one appointment (up to one hour) to view this lot at our central location between 16th and 30th July. A left-hand drive, home market, 996 GT3 in Polizei livery. Only 74,105km from new.On offer from the Stuttgart Collection, an homage to the iconic livery of the German PolizeiA standard GT3 with the graphics and lights etc. fitted by its owner355bhp, 3.6-litre engine, communicative chassis, superb brakes, perfect control weighting, precise steeringThe famous Polizei cars were modelled by Corgi Toys and Scalextric74,105km from new. Graphics easily removable leaving a very attractive low mileage GT3Intended primarily for competition, although still fully road legal, the Porsche 911 GT3 can trace its ancestry all the way back through a succession of high-performance models to the legendary 911 Carrera RS of 1973. The car takes its name from the FIA's GT3 category of production sports car racing and has been produced in a variety of versions since its introduction in 1999 when the GT3 badges were applied to the Type 996 iteration of the perennial 911.The 3.6-litre flat-six engine, though, departed from mainstream Type 996 practice by virtue of its water-cooled cylinders, leaving only the heads cooled by air. Called the 'Metzger' engine after its designer, Hans Metzger, this unit was closely related to that of the Porsche 962 'Sports Prototypes' and the 911 GT1 racer. In the GT3 it produced 355bhp, 59 horsepower more than in the standard 996, which was delivered to the wheels through a strengthened gearbox boasting interchangeable ratios. To make the GT3 fit for circuit use, the brakes, suspension, and wheels were uprated to cope with the substantial increase in performance, whilst aerodynamic downforce was enhanced by a larger front air dam and a distinctive rear spoiler.Weight reduction extended to the removal of the rear seats and most of the sound deadening, rear speakers, sunroof, and air conditioning, though the latter could be ordered as an option, as could a CD/radio. In its original Type 996 incarnation, as seen here, the 911 GT3 was produced up to 2006.Offered as part of The Stuttgart Collection, is this homage to the iconic livery of the German Polizei. Police forces around Europe have famously used performance cars as a way of raising the profile and effectiveness of policing road and autobahn rules and the Germans were no exception and made the livery a brand with even Scalextric models being produced along with Corgi models. This particular left-hand drive 996 GT3 was purchased and graphics applied together with lights to emulate the famous police 911s. What began as just a bit of fun actually became a tool for a UK Police Force to promote young driver awareness courtesy of the owner at the time. This GT3 has travelled just 74,105km and could easily have the graphics removed and be returned to a very attractive low mileage Porsche GT3.You can now book a one to one appointment (up to one hour) to view this lot at our central location between 16th and 30th July. The engine fitted to the GT2 (designation M96/70 S) utilised the newly introduced 'Variocam Plus' system but had 10% more power than the Turbo, which was achieved by fitting more potent turbochargers, a modified exhaust system and adapted engine electronics. The GT2 also made use of a race-derived gearbox, which was reworked and fitted with the lubrication system of the GT3 RS, plus the addition of a friction-plate limited-slip differential tuned to match the car's ultra-stiff suspension which was 20mm lower than the Turbo to achieve a lowered centre of gravity. Coupled with aluminium monobloc 'Turbo Design' wheels, a larger 89-litre fuel tank, and completely new front panelling to reduce aerodynamic front-lift at high speeds and increase air intake, the GT2 really was a race-car for the road. Naturally, performance was electrifying with a 0-62mph time of just 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 195mph. Supplied new by AFN, Reading and first registered on 13th November 2002 this GT2 had been specified with Basalt Black paintwork and black leather seats. Options included painted front and rear centre console, CDR-23 CD radio, Stainless entry panels and some Aluminium-look interior furnishings. At the time of cataloguing the speedometer on this sparkling GT2 indicated just 8,492 miles and is fully supported with a detailed history file including the original service book showing routine maintenance from Porsche main dealers, supporting invoices, the original Bill of Sale, and a number of old MOT Certificates. The most recent entry in the service book was 'Major Maintenance' at 7,967 miles carried out by Porsche Centre, West London. Pleasingly the spare keys are also present and sensibly the car is fitted with a 'Tracker' system.Believed to be one of just 129 UK-supplied examples, this is a rare car and it's unusual to find a GT2 presented in such outstanding condition with low mileage and unquestionable provenance.
