This is one of the posters from the popular Careless Talk Costs Lives wartime propaganda series issued by the Ministry of Information - "Of course there's no harm in your knowing!" Image of a man and lady talking over a candle lit table with Hitler under the table cloth writing notes. Cyril Kenneth Bird CBE (17 December 1887 – 11 June 1965), known by the pen name Fougasse, was a British cartoonist best known for his work in Punch magazine (of which he served as editor from 1949 to 1953) and his World War II warning propaganda posters. He was educated at Cheltenham College and King's College London (B.Sc). While at King's College he attended evening art classes at the Regent Street Polytechnic and at the School of Photo-Engraving in Bolt Court. Original vintage propaganda poster featuring the yoke and arrows emblem of the Falange Española de las JONS (Spanish Fascist Party) in red on a black background, flanked either side by a block of red. Due to the international political climate at the time, the war had many facets and was variously viewed as class struggle, a war of religion, a struggle between dictatorship and republican democracy, between revolution and counterrevolution, and between fascism and communism. Original vintage advertising poster for Coop children charity stamps. This poster was printed in 1965, the Dutch children's stamp blocks 1965 - 1970 are on a harmful list of issues drawn up by the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie because the surcharge of two of the five stamps was higher than half the postage value (which would unnecessarily incur collectors' costs). Fun image of a little blonde girl in dress standing behind a stall with stamp folders and holding a sheet of stamps in her hand. Children's stamps are stamps whose surcharge , the amount on top of the franking value , is used for projects that benefit the youth. Switzerland had the first children's stamp in 1912 , the proceeds of which went to Pro Juventute. In 1924, the Netherlands was the second country to start selling children's stamps. Children's postage stamps have been published every year since then, except during the war years 1942-1944. From 1936 the surcharge was mentioned on the stamps, initially in lower case under the stamp image, since 1949 in the stamp image. Every year a new series is released with a different theme. The sale is organized by Stichting Kinderpostzegels Nederland , which uses the proceeds to support charities for the benefit of the child. Condition: Good condition, staining, creasing..
