A turquoise and pearl brooch, stamped `15ct`, circa 1910, with a flower head cluster to a bar with a similarly set drop below, 4.5cm long, cased; with a similarly ser bar brooch, also stamped `15ct` and of similar vintage, with a crowned heart to the centre, 3.3cm long; 6g gross; and a single stone paste bar brooch
3 World War 1 Vintage photographs of British military airships mounted on Propeller Tip with RAF Eagle at top of frame. Laminated wooden propeller tip converted to a memento to be mounted horizontally, with 3 photographs of British Airships from left, oval photograph of Airship No 9 in flight, rectangular photograph of RN Costal Class C16 on patrol over an allied light cruiser, to the right an oval photograph of an unmarked North Sea Class Airship in flight. Propeller is in good condition, the pictures are in poor condition. (130cm wide). See Plate 2
“Visit of His Majesty’s Airship R-100 Canada-1930” an official souvenir publication, 94pp, 21.5cm x 28.5cm, blue typical 1930’s style cover, with interesting articles on “The Evolution of The Rigid Airship”, “The St Hubert Airship Mooring Tower” etc., together with an eight side supplement necessitated by the flight being postponed from June until July 28th at the request of the Canadian Department of National Defence and showing an interesting History of the Officers and crew. Generally GC some wear commensurate with its vintage. See Plate 13
Menu from the “Graf Zeppelin” England Flight 18-20 Aug 1931. Mounted, framed (41cm x 51cm) and glazed menu of the Hamburg-Amerika Line. The menu shows on the front, within a Blue and Yellow oval border, the “Graf Zeppelin” over the Kurgarten Hotel on Friedrichshafen waterfront. The menu is mounted on a snake-skin effect backing within a oak mount. Mounted on the snake-skin backing, above the menu are 3 lapel badges. From the left; a Triangular Badge (apex pointing down) enclosing an Elongated “Z” bisected by a pair of stylized wings, the lower part of the “Z” below the wings has been modified to represent a capital “E”. The middle badge strongly resembles a WW1 US Army Service Corps Officer’s Lapel insignia. The third badge is designed as a pennant with a “Z” central to the pennant. Inserted under the glass is a vintage post-card depicting an early Zeppelin as an advertising vehicle for “Allensdorf Milchcentrifugen Werk”. To the rear, a segment has been removed from the backing to show the typewritten details of the flight, and the particular meal. This menu was prepared for the Evening meal on 19 August.
