Lots 299, 300 and 301 were bought by the vendor from The Dower House, Tewkesbury and whilst they do not have labels and the capsules are plain, there is reasonable evidence the port dates from 1871 (bottled in the 1970s); please ask for further details. One bottle from this collection was previously opened; the cork for which had the date of 1871 and Cabral which is Serafim Cabral of Quinta de Loueiro. Original vintage travel poster for Cuba for Vinales Valley. This poster was issued y the Instituto Nacional de la Industria Turistica. The valley has an area of 132 km2 (51 sq mi) and is located in the Sierra de los Organos mountains (part of Guaniguanico range), just north of Vinales in the Pinar del Rio Province. Tobacco and other crops are cultivated on the bottom of the valley, mostly by traditional agriculture techniques. Many caves dot the surrounding hillfaces (Cueva del Indio, Cueva de Jose Miguel). The conspicuous limestone cliffs rising like islands from the bottom of the valley are called mogotes. They can be up to 300m tall. Vinales is a major tourist destination offering mainly hiking and rock climbing. The local climbing scene has started to take off in the last few years with many new routes being discovered resulting in an increase in local tourism. Cimetta is a mountain in the Lepontine Alps, it is located above Locarno and Lake Maggiore. The Locarno–Madonna del Sasso funicular links Locarno city centre with Orselina. From there a cable car connects to Cardada, from which a chair lift runs to the summit. Good condition, staining.
