Containing a total of 61 glass slides, Each hand written onto Sheffield University Pathology Department labels. Note: Labelled Ronald ? - Possibly Ronald Stanley Illingworth. Illingworth FRCP (1 October 1909 in Harrogate – 4 June 1990 in Bergen, Norway) was a British born Yorkshireman and a paediatrician of renown. He was awarded, Medal of the University of Turku, Finland. 1974, Aldrich award of the American Academy of Paediatrics, James Spence Medal 1977, Dawson Williams prize of the British Medical Association, Illingworth was also awarded honorary degrees from Bagdad, Sheffield and Leeds. In 1982 he was awarded the Freedom of the City of Sheffield
A vintage 1ct round brilliant cut diamond solitaire ring, together with a yellow metal band ring. The solitaire is set in a claw set mount with foliate design shoulders. Diamond clarity is estimated at Si1-2, colour J-K with a grey tint. Bruted girdle with indented naturals to the girdle. Moderate blue fluorescence. Given as an engagement ring in the late 1950s. Unmarked but in white and yellow precious metal, testing ass 18ct gold. Size K. Gross weight approximately 2.79 grams. Together with a D-shaped court ring, in 18ct gold, size L, approximate weight 3.58 grams.
