Photograph by Dorothy Wilding and bearing her pencil signature to the lower mount. Signed ('Edward, Duke of Windsor') by the Duke and signed ('Wallis Windsor') by the Duchess, both in black fountain pen inks to the lower mount and further inscribed and dated by the Duchess to the image, 'To Maurice Chevalier, Paris 1946'. ELIZABETH II & PRINCE PHILIP: ELIZABETH II (1926- ) Queen of the United Kingdom 1952- & PRINCE PHILIP (1921-2021) Duke of Edinburgh, husband and consort of Queen Elizabeth II. Vintage signed Christmas greetings card by both Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh individually, the stiff cream 8vo folding card featuring an image to the inside of the royal couple seated together in an open top car. Signed ('Elizabeth') by the Princess and signed ('Philip') by the Duke, both in dark fountain pen inks, beneath a printed greeting. Unusually the Princess has also made an annotation in ink beneath the image, identifying the place and date as Montreal, 1951. With a gold embossed crest to the front cover and tied with the original green and white ribbons. Accompanied by the original registered mail envelope hand addressed by the Princess to Madame Reinhold in France and signed by Princess Elizabeth with her initial ('E') to the lower left corner. Postmarked at Sandringham, Norfolk, 10th January 1952. The initial is a little indistinct. Some very light, extremely minor age wear, VG Georgina Reinhold had been Princess Elizabeth's French tutor.

Vintage bold blue ink signature (`Alexander Kerensky´) on an oblong small 8vo first day cover envelope, New York, 17th November 1961. The document being the commemorative presentation of an 8 cents U.S. postage stamp showing a portrait of John J. Pershing. The first day cover envelope shows the printed portrait of Pershing in uniform with the printed text beneath “American Military Leader”. Small overall minor age wear, otherwise G John J. Pershing (1860-1948) General of the United States Army. Nicknamed “Black Jack”. Pershing commanded the Expeditionary Forces on the Western Front during World War I.

Five times winner of the Tour de France, 1978-79,1981-82 and 1985; Raymond Poulidor (1936-2019) French Cyclist. Nicknamed Pou-Pou. Winner of the Vuelta a España in 1964 (2); Andreas Kloden (1975- ) German Cyclist. Bronze medal and twice finished second at the Tour; Axel Merckx (1972- ) Belgian cyclist racer; Roger Riviere (1936-1976) French racing cyclist. Riviere took the Hour record in 1957, being the first rider to exceed 47 km. He was about to win the 1960 Tour but crashed on the Col de Perjuret, and would never regained full use of his limbs, living in a wheelchair the rest of his life: and Charles Pelissier (1903-1959) French Cyclist.
