Fantastic collage by renowned artist Jacques Kapralik showing June Allyson and Robert Walker leaning towards each other over a cooking table. Lithographed In USA. Jacques Kapralik was a Romanian American caricaturist best remembered for his work with MGM in the 1940s. Born in Bucharest, Romania, Kapralik came to the United States in 1936. He specialized in designing miniature models resembling film stars, which were then photographed against backgrounds giving a three-dimensional effect. Although Kapralik's work occasionally appeared onscreen in films such as Presenting Lily Mars, most of his output was devoted to publicity materials in trade magazine ads and press kits. Kapralik died in 1960, in Los Angeles, California. Very good condition, faint creases and light edge wear. Double-sided. Original vintage sport poster for a horse racing event. This is a stock poster where details of the event would be added, it might have been also displayed blank as a decoration. This poster has revenue stamps from Tunis. Harness racing is a type of racing where horses race around a track while pulling a two-wheeled cart (sulky / spider) and a driver behind them. In this sport, Standardbreds are used. These horses are separated into two categories, trotters and pacers. Pacers move the legs on each side of their body in tandem, while trotters move their diagonal legs together. The latter are typically faster than the former due to the gaits used. Occasionally a horse will break their gait into an actual canter or gallop. This could cause the loss of a race or even a disqualification. Notable races include the Breeder's Crown series. Original vintage advertising pamphlet for Hohensonne tanning lamps with artwork by Ludwig Hohlwein (1874 - 1949). The cover shows a blonde woman in a green wraparound dress, holding a young child on her knee - both are smiling and looking off to the side, bathed in light. Red text reads Gesundheit - Schonheit - Lebensfreude - durch die Hohensonne Original Hanau / Health - Beauty - Joie de vivre - through the Hohensonne Original Hanau. The inside and reverse of the pamphlet features text about the benefits of the tanning lamp - ‘Sun the whole year round’ - alongside photographs of people using the lamps. The Hohensonne was produced by Heraeus Noblelight, Germany’s leading manufacturer of medical phototherapy lights at the time. It was so successful - in part thanks to Hohlwein’s advertising posters - that the brand name ‘Hohensonne’ was used generically to describe tanning lamps in German. Ludwig Hohlwein is considered one of Germany’s most prolific and talented poster artists; an architect by training, he produced bold, eye-catching plakatstil designs. Art Deco design featuring a workman shaking the hand of a man in a suit waith a steam train pulling up in the background. Issued by Information de L'Etat Francais. The Service du travail obligatoire - Compulsory Work Service, STO was the forced enlistment and deportation of hundreds of thousands of French workers to Nazi Germany to work as forced labour for the German war effort during World War II. The STO was created under laws and regulations of Vichy France, but it was used by Nazi Germany to compensate for its loss of manpower as it enlisted more and more soldiers for the Eastern Front. The German government promised that for every three French workers sent it would release one French prisoner of war. Those requisitioned under the STO were accommodated in work camps on German soil. Original vintage Spanish Neo-Nazi propaganda poster against bank usury: Hasta Cuando? Contra la usura Bancaria! (Until when? Against Bank Usury!). This poster features a striking black and white drawing of a desperate man sitting on the pavement in the street with a bank statement in his hand while in the background bank signs and bankers are depicted in deep red overtones. It was published by CEDADE, (from the initials of Ci­rculo Espanol de Amigos de Europa or 'Spanish Circle of Friends of Europe'), a Spanish neo-Nazi group that began life in 1966, under Franco's rule, ostensibly as a society for the appreciation of Richard Wagner but soon taking on a neo-Nazi dimension and became a study group and publishing house for materials relating to Nazism and Holocaust denial, with a remit towards closer co-operation across Europe.
