A vintage military style brass and copper bugle. Fitted with a brass Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders badge, a detachable mouthpiece, and a cord grip. Notes: no apparent maker marks or dates. Unknown date of manufacture, but clearly has been polished over a good amount of time, plus has some dents in places. Approximately 29cm length. Condition: some shallow dents in places, ingrained old polish to badge area. Some crude soldering to in places. Partly detached safety chain to the mouthpiece.
A vintage Tissot British military issued wristwatch. Silvered dial with Arabic numerals, and syringe style hands. Subsidiary dial a 6 o’clock position. Case cover to the back marked ‘W.W.W. Q225’ with a broad arrow. Plus, ‘Non-Magnetic - Swiss - Waterproof’. 15 jewel movement, numbered 1522321. Fitted with a green leather strap. Approximately 3.3cm wide across the face (including crown). Condition: generally good. Some wear to the casing, with fine scratching and contact marks. Strap in used but serviceable condition. When wound, the watch would appear to run for a while, stopping intermittently, so it may be in need of a service. A vintage mid 20th century Knights Templar commanders sword, by C.E.Ward Co New London. Gilt on white metal cross guard, pommel, and langet, the latter with red infilled enamel detail. Black japanned grip with inset white metal cross. 70cm blade, with etching to both sides, featuring crusades scenes, religious symbolism, and a memento mori skull. Makers mark etched to the ricasso. Complete with gilt on white metal scabbard, with 3 suspension rings, and moulded decorative bands along the length, some with red enamel infills. Some of the scabbard bands are marked ‘54’. Notes: the gold wash to the hilt and scabbard would indicate that the sword belonged to a commander. Total length in scabbard approximately 91.5cm. Condition: generally very good and solid. Some very minor service wear to the high points of the gilt finish, revealing the white base metal below. Minor red enamel losses in a couple of places, but overall these are not detrimental. Blade is clean and bright, with clear etching,
A vintage ‘Siebe Gorman’ style divers knife. The piece is seemingly unmarked, but conforms to known styles used by Siebe Gorman. Black ebonite handle with small brass pommel, brass collar and cross guard. Steel double edged blade of flattened diamond section, with one edge being finely serrated. Brass sheath with flared throat area, and drainage hole to the chape area. Rectangular slot with webbing loop attached, plus two added brass ‘clip’ modifications added to the sheath by the original user (soldered in place). There is also a further ring attachment to the brass collar area. Approximately 33.5cm length of knife, blade length 19.3cm. Length in sheath 35.3cm. Condition: generally good. Some mark and pitting to the blade from service wear. Some light service wear to the sheath and handle, but both are intact.
A British No.7 MK1 bayonet and other military related items. To included: a 1948 dated No.7 bayonet, designed primarily for the Sten Gun. With paxolin grips and distinctive swivelling pommel. The blade is marked at the ricasso with ‘No7 MK1 L’ and to the other side it is faintly marked 1948 and what appears to be a letter P in a circle. This would likely related to the Poole factory, who produced around 30,000 of the 176,000 produced in total. The pommel is faintly marked ‘F5B’ and with a broad arrow mark, plus the other side is faintly marked ‘Made in UK’. Please note that the bayonet is minus its scabbard. Plus a Skean Dhu style sock knife, with citrine paste stone set into the pommel, and base metal mounts. A Irish clan badge style motif is inset into the grip, a cased Pingat Jasa Malaysia Medal complete with its miniature medal and ribbon bar, a WW1 era ‘Bovril Handy-Book & Diary of the War’, 2 x Peter Hicks bronze resin military figurines, and 2 vintage Dinky armoured vehicle toys. 8 items. Condition: Varies across pieces. The No.7 bayonet is good, with only normal service wear. The Skean Dhu is in good condition. The WW1 booklet is in poor condition, with loose pages and creasing. The Pingat Jasa medal appears to be virtually mint. The resin figurines are in average condition, and one has rifle that appears to have broken away. The 2 Dinky toys are play worn, with missing tracks to the tank.
A selection of WW2 / Korean War era cloth divisional patches, to include among others a non matched pair of 7th Armoured Division (Desert Rats) formation signs, both right facing and having been uniform removed, a pair of (Sherwood) Foresters shoulder titles, 3 post war Commonwealth patches, a 49th West Riding Infantry Division patch, plus others. Plus, a military compass, a nickel military pocket watch (seems to be non-working), various cap badges, 2 vintage wristwatches, and a Korean War era soldiers service book. 26 individual items. Generally good, with normal service wear. Many of the cloth patches have soiling from storage, with a few appearing to have never been on a uniform. The watches have some cosmetic wear, but their mechanical condition is unknown. The compass has service wear, and would appear to work as it should.
A vintage Royal Corps of Signals mess jacket, waistcoat and associated trousers. Manufactured in scarlet wool with blue/black facings. Sergeants stripes to the right sleeve, plus a bullion corps badge above. The waistcoat is of blue/black wool with gilt regimental buttons - there is a tailors label to the inside with the typed name ‘Sgt Angus’. The trousers are of standard form with a red wool red line to each leg. Condition: the waistcoat and trousers appear to be in good condition. The jacket has two small holes to each lapel were a badge has been attached in the past. There are a few small moth holes to the shoulder area at the back of the jacket.
A Vintage Anemometer / Wind Speed Velocity by Short & Mason of London. Complete with velvet lined leather transit case. Brass rimmed dial with 2 subsidiary dials, marked ‘No L8060’. Black painted metal frame with integral fan blade mechanism. Makers mark stamped to the back, along with ‘Made in England’. Brass hanging loop to the top of the frame. Similar instruments may be found in Short & Mason’s 1935 catalogue. Approximately 11.5cm width across the frame. Condition: very good. The item appears to have had little use, with almost all the black paint remaining, and the brass work and dial both being clean and tidy. The case has some wear externally from handling and use.
