A CHARLES II OAK CHEST OF DRAWERS LATE 17TH CENTURY Each drawer with moulded front, above bun feet 100cm high, 114cm wide, 56cm deep Condition Report: Handles replaced and no great vintage, second drawer down has a section of mitred moulding missing which will need to be made. Some alterations to the frame as would be expected, most notably, the drawer runners and the runners for the central grooves have been cut back and lower more modern rails fitted. Surface polish is unsympathetic. Top is warped and has numerous ring and water marks. Bun feet of the right type but later replacements. In general bits of timber and moulding replaced. A GEORGE III MAHOGANY AND CALICO UPHOLSTERED WING ARMCHAIR CIRCA 1770 With removable cover initialled CG to one corner, on square section supports united by stretchers and above substantial castors 124cm high Condition Report: With marks, stains, knocks and cracks consistent with age and use. There are losses, restorations and observations including: the loose cover is not tight fitting and there is no cushion pad for the seat cushion cover; some stains to the vintage crude flour sack type hemp/linen fabric, including a pink stain to the cushion cover; the substantial brass cappings and casters are of some age but probably not original to the chair, the joins are not flush; the underlying upholstery is calico showing signs of age, with some sagging; there are possibly some replaced seat rails, but they are not all visible and it is not possible to inspect the frame that is covered in upholstery so it is not possible to comment on the originality of the frame; there is some evidence of worm. A PINK UPHOLSTERED CIRCULAR CENTRE STOOL 20TH CENTURY 34cm high, 160cm diameter   Condition Report: All measurements are approximate as this is upholstered with rounded sections and movement within the upholstery: approximately 34cm high, 164cm long and 134cm wide - it is oval. There are marks and wear consistent with age and use. Observations including: the upholstery is soft (rather than firm) with undulations to the top, the fabric loose; there are some water mark and other stains; the fabric is vintage with the character of slubs, some loose thread, fading, raw edges.
