LEATHER TENNIS TOURNAMENT CASE - 1910 a small leather folding writing case, with various compartments and stamped inside U.S Tennis Tournament, 1910, Gentlemans Doubles. With a vintage luggage label on the back for SS Captain Cook, D H Vickers, Destination - Wellington N.Z. Also with a set of cricket autographs from the M.C.C Tour to New Zealand in 1962/63, signatures include Fred Trueman, Tom Graveney, Ted Dexter, Brian Statham etc. Case 27cms by 35cms. (2) *This case belonged to Surgeon Commander Hedley Vickers.

A fabulous and rare vintage Mardons Design Centre ' Player's Cigarettes ' (and other makes) original cigarette Christmas box artwork designs - some likely never used / seen. All situated within a Mardon Design album, the collection comprises of 24 original artworks (usually watercolour or mixed media) artwork designs for various 'seasonal' Christmas cigarette packaging. Mardon's supplied artwork to various tobacco companies and designs feature for Nelson Tipped, Capstan, Will's, Senior Service, Bristol, Player's, and others. All direct from the Mardons Design Dept whom our vendor worked for during the period. Many of these designs were likely considered for publication, some may have been chosen, others likely not. Many feature nautical related scenes, usually Navy or similar. None signed by artist, but all approx postcard sized.A rare and important archive of artwork.
An original vintage Southern Railway Excursion handbill to visit ' RMS Aquitania at Southampton Docks ' on Whit-Monday 1st June, 1936. Along with another. Rare.RMS Aquitania was a British ocean liner of Cunard Line in service from 1914 to 1950. She was designed by Leonard Peskett and built by John Brown & Company in Clydebank, Scotland. She was launched on 21 April 1913 and sailed on her maiden voyage from Liverpool to New York on 30 May 1914. Aquitania was the third in Cunard Line's grand trio of express liners, preceded by RMS Mauretania and RMS Lusitania, and was the last surviving four-funnelled ocean liner. Shortly after entering service, World War I broke out, during which she was first transformed into an auxiliary cruiser before being transformed into a troop transport and a hospital ship, notably as part of the Dardanelles Campaign.

A rare original vintage WWII Second World War Lancaster Bomber (and other aircraft of the period) cockpit clock. Likely made by Smiths, with faint serial number to dial. Side wind, complete with dummy hands (for timing flights). Appears to not currently run. Air Ministry stamp to verso. 6cm diameter. NOTE: Proceeds from this lot are being donated towards the ' Attack On The Sorpe Dam ' film project. The film tells the story of the famous Dambusters raid of WWII, and features testimony from George 'Johnny' Johnson himself.
A pair of vintage early 20th century automobile ' King Of The Road ' Joseph Lucas LTD car headlights. The domed glass lenses having a clear centre with textured circle and clear border within a chromed mount and chromed conical shaped body. The body of the lamp emblem to top of each and fitting to the bottom. Also included is a believed Joseph Lucas LTD paraffin light switch. Headlight diameter approx 20cm.
A vintage post-WWII Second World War sextant navigational instrument with a brass gauge and brown Bakelite handle. Within its original fitted hardwood box with lens and certificate from the National Physical Laboratory, Teddington certifying that sextant no. 1334b is suitable for measurements of one minute accuracy and reaches the standard for grade III. Dated 1950. Measures approx 10 inches x 5 1/2 inches x 10 inches when boxed.
