The medals were consigned by a private vendor. The medal group presents in condition commensurate with age and usage. The ribbons are certainly vintage and possibly original, showing some fraying and damage in general. The medals - the Crimea 1855 medal has some significant wear to the external face, the Crimea 1854 again shows wear and patination commensurate with age, all the bars are in good condition, again the ribbon is frayed and worn, but overall as one would expect to see a medal of this age which has been worn. Finally the Long Service Good Conduct medal this presents in good condition showing patination of age, no undue wear on this item. Prospective buyers are strongly advised to study all images carefully prior to bidding as these form part of the condition report.
A Vintage Silver Kelly Pilulier Pill Box, by Hermes, stamped 925, 1.75ins x.75ins x 1.75ins high, weight 1.27ozs There is light scattered scratching to the exterior of the piece as well as a couple of isolated spots of tarnishing to the silver. Five pin cushions together with seventy-three vintage and antique hat pins, comprising two novelty white metal pin cushions in the form of a boot, one octagonal embroidered silk cushion and two silver mounted pin cushions, Birmingham, the hat pins of varying styles, sizes, ages and materials including glass, ceramic, jet, enamel, pearl and two of rolled gold in their original box.
