A late Victorian mahogany bracket clock, with ormolu embellishments, having a pineapple finial to the pagoda top and with similar finial to each corner in turn above the arched door enclosing the brass dial with advance and retard mechanism to the arch and with two-train striking movement flanked by canted angles with caryatid mounts, the rectangular stepped base with further ormolu mounts and raised on scrolling paw feet. Width 16ins.

Sutton, Whitehaven and with sheaf binding scene to the arch and windmills to each spandrels, flanked by turned columns and in turn above the short shaped trunk door also flanked by turned columns and with conforming base raised on bracket feet. A fine quality Georgian English twin fusee bracket clock circa 1800 by James Payne of Fosters Lane, London. The well figured mahogany case with a brass carrying handle to the arched top inset with three raised rectangular brass edged panels. The round dial above two pierced brass cloud form panels. The whole raised on brass ogee bracket feet. 16" high. Together with a Regency mahogany wall bracket, the platform top inlaid with ebony and decorated with coloured roundels. The bracket with scrolling supports and a central brass lions panel.

The case of particularly attractive figure and colour. The brass furniture original although the lacquer very discoloured. The glazed rear door to the case restored but to an acceptable standard
