The mahogany case with carved panels, brass pineapple finials and carrying handle (21.5 inches overall). Anthony Marsh son of John Marsh, a wheelwright of Stow on the Wold, Gloucestershire was apprentice to Abraham Acton on 7 June 1714. He was made free of the clock makers company on 5 October 1724 and became a Steward of the company on 17 July 1745. This clock has been in the same family since the 19th century.

Silvering on dial is worn and chapter ring is worn through to base metal. Hour hand is detached but present. Case is quite worn. Veneer has some surface damage and cracking. Rear door interior silk has damage near top. Front door slightly distorted. Outer frame is very dirty and door itself difficult to open
