Early nineteenth century mahogany longcase clock, the swan neck pediment above an arched painted face depicting a highlander with bow and a hound above a white enamel dial with a thirty one day ring and subsidiary seconds marked for David Dewar, Doune 1882 and flanked by columns with Corinthian capitals over a trunk with spiral quarter pilasters and a door carved with a cockeral and inscribed 'Gloria Patri' on a plain base section with bracket feet, 84in (213.3cm) high
A GEORGE III MAHOGANY LONG CASE CLOCK having an arched painted dial, inset Adam and Eve automaton movement and an eight day movement with circular dial, second hand and date apperture, signed And.w Rich, Bridgewater, the case with carved shell and fan decoration, panelled door and rosewood cross banding, pilasters and plain base, 7'9" high. (see illustration).
18th Century Longcase Clock, the brass arched dial inscribed., "John Moore, Warminster", with secondary seconds dial and date aperture, the centre engraved with insects and scrolls, with cast and embossed spandrels and with moon phase in the arch, eight-day movement, contained within an oak case, with arched hood and door with moulded edge and on a plain base, 200cms, (6’7"). Footnote: John Moore is recorded as working in Warminster from 1780 to 1800.
19th Century Longcase Clock, with painted square dial, inscribed, "Jno Tasker , Falkingham", secondary seconds dial and date aperture, the spandrels painted with gilt conch shells, eight-day movement, contained within an oak case, swan neck pediment, the hood with inverted tapered columns, above an arched panelled door, on a plain base, 218cms, (7’2"). Footnote: The name Tasker is recorded as working at Falkingham circa 1780.
19th Century French Table Clock, the porcelain dial with Roman numerals, interspersed with painted floral swags, Continental movement and contained within a tortoiseshell and ormolu mounted balloon-shaped ------ with cartouche shaped glass panel exposing pendulum and on a square base, 44cms, (17").
