James Bonner, Aberdeen: A handsome George III mahogany and crossbanded eight day longcase clock, with silvered Roman dial, subsidiary seconds dial with date aperture, name plate to the arch, anchor escapement carved acanthus leaf finial, shaped waistal and panel base with bracket feet with winding key pendulum and two weights, 210cms high.
A selection of desk accessories, including: a pair of carved onyx bookends, modelled as horse heads, 13cms high; a German wall barometer; a Swiza miniature mantel clock; a silver plated capstan inkwell; a feather quill; and a Great War paperweight; together with a silver handled shoehorn, by William Davenport, Birmingham, 1908.
An early 18th century and later bracket style clock, marked John Clowes London, presented in a Victorian ebonised and glazed mantle clock case and having later applied regulator to rear of clock, the original brass and steel dial with twin key holes and date aperture and having blank space possibly for day, needs viewing in person ideally as needs attention but does strike the height is 36cm with the handle up and 33cm with the handle down
