A 1985 Peugeot 205 GTi 1.6, registration number B30 XWL, black. Launched in 1983, Peugeot's 205 GTi has become one of, if not the definitive 80s hot hatchback. What Car declared it car of the year in 1983 and Car Magazine declared it the car of the decade in 1990. This exceedingly original, low mileage and unmolested example was originally supplied by Bristol Street Motors (Bambury) Ltd to Mrs S Rogers from St Albans, Hertfordshire for £6,320 (original receipt on file). The Peugeot is finished in possibly the best colour combination of black with a half black and grey cloth interior with contrasting red carpets. With all matching numbers, the 205 comes to auction with a detailed history file outlining expenditure and its time on the Isle of Man with it's second owner, sales brochures, original bill of sale, expired MOTs and receipts. This wonderful original GTi has been in its third and current ownership since 2013, forming part of a private collection. The car is now regretfully for sale due to the vendor's impending emigration to New Zealand. With only 30,000 miles on the clock and a detailed history this extremely original GTi must now offer a rare opportunity to purchase an iconic hot hatch and what is now one of the hottest rising value cars in today's market. V5C, no MOT See illustrations
