Approximately 186 loose postcards ' mainly British topographical but also 30 shipping and shipwreck subject cards. This lot comprises 116 British topographic cards (which are not in any photographs ' with another 40 of what we consider to the pick of the bunch in our photos; and approximately 18 shipping cards (including the HM hospital ship Neuralia, P&O's Berrima, the RMS Adriatic and four nice FGO Stuart printed cards), and 12 cards relating to shipwrecks off Dorset, including Chesil Beach (all photographed). The cards are a good mix of photographic and printed, by various publishers. The condition is mixed, but generally collectable ' from very good to cards which have minor edge knocks and creases. A higher percentage than usual of the British topographical cards would be considered of collectable interest. The photographed examples include eight nice cards from the Christchurch/Mudeford area (separate photograph, two photographic examples of the windmill at Darland Banks in Kent, Westbury Railway Station, Queen Mary's Hospital at Roehampton, Jersey Airport, two LLs of the Channel Islands, three nice scenes of Hastings, the Guinness Festival clock at Great Yarmouth, the Sizewell Nuclear Power Station at Leiston and nice street scenes of West Dean, near Salisbury; Wickham, Alfriston, Gainsborough, Bedford, Aldershot and Dartford.
