A collection of c. 150 glass negatives in 3 wooden boxes, taken during the Edwardian period and the1920s. The majority of the images appear to have been taken in and around the towns of Sonning –cottages, river scenes and paddle steamers; Reading – Forbury Gardens bandstand and lion, Salmon’sTea Warehouse; and Weymouth, Jubilee Clock Tower, and children riding a sheep-powered cart.There are some enchanting beach scenes with children taking donkey rides, and bathers and bathinghuts. Around twenty of the negatives show scenes from within a very large store, possibly in Reading,with advertisements for such diverse goods as “Amphibian Land & Water Rubber Sandalsâ€, “Leagueâ€leather footballs, and “Carson’s Chocolate Walnutsâ€.
W. BONE, LONDON. A 19TH CENTURY FIGURED MAHOGANY REGULATOR LONGCASE CLOCK the domed top mirror back case with long glazed door and carved pierced frieze on a square base with recessed panel. The 14" silvered brass dial with regulator layout having outer minutes surrounding subsidiary seconds and hour markings fronting a substantial eight-day weight driven movement with thick brass plates and large turned pillars, six-spoke wheel work, deadbeat escapement and Harrison maintaining power; original brass cased weight and mercury compensated pendulum207cm highThe clock is in good overall condition, the movement looks to have been serviced in recent years but may be due another, the slightly tapered plates have four screwed pilllars, solid sides to the case. Has a good colour and polish.
DAVID LESTURGEON, LONDON. A LATE 17TH CENTURY BRASS STRIKING LANTERN CLOCK surmounted by a large bell supported by brass bell straps above an engraved pierced fret with stylised dolphins. The 6.5" Roman chapter ring surrounding a foliate engraved centre fronting a posted framed twin weight-driven striking movement with verge escapement and anchor shaped pendulum swinging between the plates34.5cm highGood original clock. The movement dial and frame all belong, looks complete and does run but will probably need a service. The steel plate from the back is missing and the hook and spike fittings have been replaced. Also the top finial is missing and has been replaced with a nut. We can not guarantee mechanical parts.

It will need a service, We can not guarantee mechanical parts. Bells missing.
A 19TH CENTURY BOX WOOD STRUNG ROSEWOOD THREE TRAIN VIENNA REGULATOR WALL CLOCK the 6.5" enamel dial with Roman numerals and signed centre fronting a three train quarter chiming movement with weight driven going train and spring driven quarter striking train. The glazed case with hinged front door, moulded corners and leaf carved pediment110cm highThe case is in nice condition with no splits or losses, there are some scratches and marks to the backboard. The movement is original to the case and is complete and in working condition, striking the quarters and the hour. It is dirty and we would recommend a clean and a service. The enamel dial has chips around the winding holes and several small surface scratches but no cracks or restoration.

The 8-day spring driven movement and striking the hours and half hours on a gong and with original jewelled balance wheel escapement13cm high handle downThe back door to the case is loose. There are no losses to the enamel panels and there are no cracks or chips to the dial only a scratch to the dial close to the edge on the right. The movement is ticking and striking the correct hours, with the original lever escapement but we would recommend a service. We cannot guarantee mechanical parts.
