Attributed to Mjölby Intarsia Wall Clock, circa 1930inlaid wood36 x 43cm. Provenance:The collection of Terence Conran (1931-2020).Top left small chip and few minor chips to base at the back. Left corner edge there has been some restoration to the wood and there’s a slight loose crack. Surface scratching. There’s something loose rolling around in the box, possibly a battery. Can be taken out by unscrewing. The hands slightly loose.
A Jaeger-le-Coultre "Atmos" clock, the movement with thirteen jewels No'd. 540, the circular chapter ring with Arabic numerals to the quarters interspersed by batons, 20 cm wide x 14.5 cm deep x 22.6 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Appears to be basically sound. Metalwork appears to be in good condition, no cracks or serious scratches to glass. Arguably some minor surface blemishing conducive with age and use. Unknown if the piece is working though, as you will see from the images, does not appear to be any reason why it should not visually. There is no outer case with this piece. Base discoloured to yellow around the edge as a result of sun exposure. From a glass display dome for taxidermy, clock or similar. measures 8cm tall and 16cm in diameter.
In the style of Jan van Egmond - an early 20th century hand painted metal clock, in the form of a clock peddler, with top hat and walking stick and clock mounted to chest. Clock face with hand painted floral and windmill decoration, with Roman numerals numbering to the face. Appears to lack a talking stick to right hand, and one hand lacks to the clock face. Approximately 39cm tall.
