A quartz movement mantel clock, the drum shaped timepiece supported on four turned wood pillars having turned wood upper and lower sections, possibly Cherry wood and having a metal Pine cone finial, 12 5/8'' high, 6 5/8" diameter approx. A lead weighted pendulum is included but does not have any means of support or function and was possibly associated with an earlier movement.
An appealing Victorian brass skeleton Clock having a cable fusee single-train movement performing a passing single strike on a bell at each hour with the hammer in being in the form of a halberd/war axe and having a silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, the movement with an intricately fret-worked brass frame of steeple form and with an anchor escapement, the whole supported on four turned brass conical feet. Complete with a blue velvet trimmed, turned and ebonised wood base raised on three turned wood compressed bun feet and complete with the associated glass dome. A winding key and a pendulum are present. 14 1/4" tall x 7 3/4" diameter, the height inclusive of the glass dome is 18 1/4" approximately. The movement ran at the time of cataloguing.
An ornate brass cased Mantel clock of French design, the single train movement having a white enamel face with Cobalt blue Roman hour numerals, black Arabic minute numerals, a regulating spindle being located above the 12 o'clock position. The case with scroll and pierced details surmounted by a female figure blowing a horn whilst beneath the face is a depiction of a semi-clad female figure holding a mask aloft. A winding key is present as is a pendulum with a cast metal bob-weight. 13 3/8" tall, 7 3/8" wide and 4 1/4" deep approx. Running at the time of cataloguing.
