A Henry Archard is recorded in South Audley Street between 1851 and 1870. Provenance: Family history suggests that the clock was bought by the family directly from Archard's premises before World War 2. It is believed that this clock was the Master Clock in Archard's premises and used by other local makers to set their clocks from.
