A mid 19th century Longcase Clock, the arched dial inscribed "Kirby, Malton" with seconds ring, date aperture and painted with sporting scenes. With eight day movement, in mahogany and oak case with swan's neck pediment and baluster turned pilasters, the trunk with quarter round mouldings and inlaid decoration, on bracket feet. 7' 6" (229cms) high.
A 19TH CENTURY HAND-PAINTED TIN PANEL depicting an allegorical figure of War standing guard on a coastal outcrop, a white enamelled clock dial with Roman hours enclosing the inscription ' No Tick Here' all in a figured mahogany frame. 43.5cm x 33.5cm CONDITION: Blistering throughout with some cracking and losses, some losses to dial surround.
AN EDWARDIAN MAHOGANY BRACKET CLOCK with arched top and glazed door, the silvered chapter ring of Roman hours within gilt spandrels and surmounted by a convex disc inscribed 'Tempus Fugit' between canted corners and raised on a plinth base, the interior with basic non striking brass movement. 53cm(h) x 36cm(w) x 22cm(d) CONDITION: Some veneer cracks.
A 19TH CENTURY SITZENDORF PORCELAIN CLOCK formed with two opposing cherubs holding a flower encrusted and cherub-topped egg, on an oval base, blue underglaze mark to base, the white enamelled dial with Roman hours, the striking movement marked 'Japy Freres'. 48.5cm(h) CONDITION: One supporting cherub with wing lacking (but present) some losses to encrusted flowers, old depletions to base, chips and cracks around dial left winding hole.
A 19TH CENTURY OAK AND MAHOGANY THIRTY-HOUR LONG CASE CLOCK by Thomas Yeates (I), Penrith (1791-1865), with flat-topped hood, square glazed door and turned columns, the trunk with shaped and crossbanded door, the crossbanded base with bracket feet, the painted dial with Roman hours framing the maker's name and bird decoration, all within foliate spandrels, the movement striking on a bell, sold with weight and pendulum. 207cm(h) CONDITION: Some paint cracking to dial, case appears restored with some minor repairs and losses to moulding.
AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY OAK AND MAHOGANY THIRTY-HOUR LONG CASE CLOCK by John Hutchinson of Appleby (1820-34), having a broken swan-neck pediment, arched glazed hood door, turned columns, arched and crossbanded trunk door between quarter columns, raised on a crossbanded base with bracket feet, the arch of the dial painted with foliate decoration, the chapter ring with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, maker's name and crescent form date aperture, all within foliate spandrels, the movement striking on a bell, sold with weight and pendulum. 219cm(h) CONDITION: Marks and scratches, wear to dial, hour pointer loose, splits to base, minor losses to crossbanding.
