Ein von drei gehöhten Blattvoluten getragener, balusterförmiger Uhrenkorpus, umzogen von reliefplastischem Rocaillendekor mit Muschelreliefs und Gitterwerk und belegt mit detailreich modellierten Blumenarrangements und -ranken sowie Schmetterlingen. Schauseitig auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen vollplastisch gestaltete Figuren. Unterhalb zwei im Spiel vertiefte Putten mit Füllhorn und Früchten als Symbol der Fruchtbarkeit. In zweiter Ebene der langbärtige, geflügelte Chronos mit seinem Attribut, der Sense, als Personifikation der Zeit nahe des Flügelrades bzw. eine junge Mutter, einen Säugling stillend und zu einem Knaben mit Vogelnest und Vöglein herabblickend als Caritas, Allegorie der Liebe. Dazwischen sitzendes Turteltaubenpaar, Symbol des Glücks und der Liebe. Volutenförmig geschweifter, rechteckiger Sockel auf gehöhten, blattförmigen Füßen, belegt mit plastischen Eichenzweigen, mittig als Reservenrahmung für jagdliche Motive. Ein von stark reliefplastischen Rocaillen getragener, balusterförmiger Uhrenkorpus in naturalistischer Gestaltung als emporragender Fels, umzogen von stark reliefplastischem Muschelwerk. Schauseitig auf baumbestandenem Terrain stehende Jäger in jagdlicher, grüner Rokokokleidung und mit schwarzem Dreizack mit Flinte und Degen, begleitet von einem Jagdhund. Unweit die verschiedenen Jagdtiere wie Wildschwein, Hirsch sowie Jagdtrophäen wie Hasen, Rebhühner und Fasan. Als Uhrenbekrönung die sitzende Figur der von einer Sichel bekrönten Diana, Göttin der Jagd, in grünem, blumig gemustertem Kleid, ausgestattet mit Bogen und Köcher und begleitet von zwei Hunden. Auf der Wandung plastisch aufgelegter Dekor aus Blüten und Blattbüscheln sowie farbiger Dekor aus vereinzelten Insekten in polychromer Malerei. Goldstaffage. Sockel-H. 12 cm.Bereits im 18. Jh. wurde die Jagd thematisch auf Meissener Porzellan dargestellt. Die Parforcejagden zählten zu den größten gesellschaftlichen Höhepunkten des Jahres. Zu diesen Ereignissen wurden themenbezogene Tafeldekorationen und Repräsentationsobjekte gefertigt, welche die Meissener Manufaktur als Auftrag an den sächsischen Hof lieferte. Allen voran war es der Modelleuer Johann Joachim Kaendler, der mit zahlreichen Jägerfiguren und Uhrenmodellen zum Meister auf diesem Gebiet avancierte. Ernst August Leuteritz (1818 - 1893) knüpfte mit dem vorliegenden Entwurf einer Prunkpendule an diese Tradition an. Sein umfangreiches Oeuvre von Figuren und Figurengruppen über Geschirr und Vasen bis hin zu Uhren, Leuchtern und Tafelaufsätzen im Stil des Historismus prägte den Meissener Dekorstil des 19. Georges Meyer retired from the company in 1936 and passed it to his son Gilles, who employed Eugène Blum as technical director. In 1937, the company turned to the clock market. It was renamed Etablissements Uti SA in 1940, and kept its Parisian head office, but the building on rue des Villas was sold that same year. In 2012 it was officially renamed the Elizabeth Tower to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This lot was given to the present owner by the craftsman as a birthday present 17 years ago. Condition Report: This has not been removed from its storage box for 17 years. Consequently there is build up of spider webs and internal dust as the sponge lining has started to perish. Will remove from box but requires careful handling- signs to the reverse where it has been damaged slightly in the process. Some losses, lifting and fragments detached. 1 face with clock/timepiece wind-up mechanism behind but this has seized. Internal wiring leading to bulb in spire- this will require remedial rewiring and work to get working again and light switch to base with loss.
