Hammersley tea pot, dish and tea cup and saucer, porcelain mantle clock, Coalport cottage, clock and other decorative ceramics (7) Condition Report Generally in good condition. Tea pot handle lid re-glued. Very good restoration. Plate small amount of crazing to the centre. Gilt ware good very small area of gilt loss to the square dish. Clock has some markings to the face. A deco Oak cased Longcase Clock having dome topped case with single long door with two panels, regulator movement, large brass pendulum and three brass weights, circular alloy and brass Arabic numeral face, Westminster chime, standing on circular feet, 21'' wide x 76 3/8'' high x 10 1/4'' deep
A late 19th century mahogany and brass inlaid fusee mantel clock, the enamel dial signed Desbois 10, Brownlow St, London, with twin fusee movement striking on a bell, the back plate engraved 'DESBOIS HIGH HOLBORN, LONDON', the domed top case, on brass bun feet, 39cm. Clockmakers Desbois & Wheeler, were based at 9 Gray's Inn Passage between 1820-35. In 1836 the name became Daniel Desbois and Sons. In 1879 the business moved to 79 High Holborn. Later from 1902-58 the business moved to 10 Brownlow Street, High Holborn.
A good 18th century musical clock by Charles Chambers of Deen, Northampton - with an 11 inch square dial with calendar and silvered chapter ring signed Cha Chambers Deen Fecit - the four pillar movement striking on a bell and chiming on six graduating bells, with pendulum and weights housed in an oak longcase probably of later period standing 74 inches tall - The clock is working in the sale room, chimes sticking, case generally good for age with some losses but good patina, inspection is advised
An early 20th century mahogany and lacquered bracket clock, splayed bracket feet with 8 inch convex dial, Roman numerals, signed Maple & Co, London - twin chain fusee movement, strikes on gong - Height 14cm x 31.5cm x Depth 19cm - Diameter of dial 20cm - some loss of colour to Roman numerals, mild discolouration toward centre of dial, some loss of plating overall - in working order
