L 901.0, no. 33230, adjusted to 5 positions, white gold guilloché dial, off-centre chapter ring with Roman numeral quarters and lozenge hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to 5 o’clock, double date aperture to 1 o’clock, power reserve indicator to 3 o’clock, date pusher to 11 o’clock, screwed down display case back with 6 screws, stamped 950 with poinçon, on a non-original brown alligator strap with platinum pin buckle, case back, dial, movement and crown signed, diameter 39mm As one of the first four models that marked the re-birth of the brand, presented in 1994, the Lange 1 is now the most recognisable watch from A. Lange & Sohne. With its idiosyncratic off-centre chapter ring and a double date aperture modelled on the five-minute clock in Dresden’s Semper Opera House, the Lange 1 is the template on which numerous complications have been based. In 2003, the Sincere Watch Boutique in Singapore commissioned a limited edition of 100 examples of the Lange 1.
