ALARM WALL CLOCK.A George IV hooded wall alarm clock, the 7 inch square dial with silvered chapter ring & alarm disc & single pierced hand, surrounded by cherub spandrels. The 30 hour movement with rectangular steel pillars, enclosing a crown wheel & verge movement with an alarm mechanism sounding on a bell mounted above the plates. The whole on an ebonised wall bracket with a brass nameplate for J A S. Roper, Shepton Mallett (Sic). The hood constructed of oak with oyster veneered sides & top, the front & sides also with inlaid veneers.
