A Boulle work and ebonised mantel clock,late 19th century, French, with a white enamelled dial, enclosing a two train movement striking the hours and half hours on a gong, stamped 'Medaille D'Or Paris 1900', complete with pendulum and key,36.5cm highCondition ReportSome minor lifting/blistering to the Boulle work on the lower part of the case. Wear and loss of finish to the gilded mounts. Knocks and minor wear throughout commensurate with age and use. Glass components and enamel dial in good order.Movement has been restored in 2015 but currently not working properly. Runs for a time and then stops. The striking does not appear to be calibrated correctly, with the hours been struck on the half hour, and the half hour being struck on the hour.
