Second quarter 19th Century inlaid oak and rosewood-cased eight day painted dial longcase clock, J.Stokes, Birmingham, the 14-inch break-arched dial with convex Roman centre inscribed as above, within spandrels decorated with female figures signifying the Four Continents beneath an arch painted with female figures as Industry, the elaborate case with inlaid swan-neck pediment and sunken hood columns over inlaid horse motif to frieze, triple-arched rosewood-crossbanded short trunk door between sunken columns and geometric crossbanding to the canted base on ogee bracket feet, 234cm high Condition: Hood finials are missing. Crack to hood door glass. Small veneer loss to arch over hood door plus flaws to veneer of left side of hood spandrel, veneer losses to throat moulding, detached section to left ogee bracket foot. Dial has minor flaking to tip of arch otherwise sound. Movement not recently working and requires a clean/overhaul. Sold with two cast iron weights, each numbered 14 plus pendulum and two winders. Torsion pendulum releases but does not immediately revolve. Lucite casing in good condition with no 'frosting' . Some wear to gilt lacquer of brass frame. Minor cracking to leather-effect double door presentation box - **General condition consistent with age

Case surmount a little loose, minor flake loss to rear door which is slightly darker than rest of body. Bracket has minor grain splitting or widening of corner joint, overall good - **General condition consistent with age

Mid 19th Century French gilt and anodised brass and bronze mantel clock, Raingo Freres a Paris, the 3.75-inch white Roman dial with Breguet moon hands, the two-train movement outside-countwheel striking on a coiled gong, the case surmounted by a cast recumbent greyhound dog over cast bezel, apron and foliate scroll feet, 39.5cm high Condition: Flake chips to edges of both winding arbors. Movement appears sound but is untested and sold as seen, currently ticking and sold with pendulum. Dog surmount may have ben cleaned as patina is a little thin, may have also had a chain or lead stemming from collar. Horizontal scratch mark through leaf casting beneath dial, anodising of dial housing and base is rather patchy and dry - **General condition consistent with age

George III inlaid oak-cased eight-day brass dial longcase clock, 'Donisthorpe' (probably Joseph Donisthorpe of Normanton), the 12-inch break-arched dial having a brass chapter ring with Roman hours and Arabic minutes framing a matted centre with circular boss inscribed 'Donisthorpe' over silvered calendar crescent, within scroll spandrels, the arch with Bacchus mask between sea serpents, the case with dentil-carved swan neck pediment, brass discs and ball and spire finial over fluted columns with brass capitals, star-inlaid and crossbanded long trunk door between fluted quadrants on a plain base with wavy apron and integral bracket feet, 222cm high Condition: Dial with light tarnishing to chapter ring and to silvered calendar crescent, minor losses to blacking of numerals, calendar functions when hands are moved. Movement appears sound though maybe of slightly later date. No packing beneath seat board. Case - minor veneer cracking to hood frame, plus a few minor knocks to moulding above base. Slight age warping otherwise sound - **General condition consistent with age

Early 19th Century mahogany cased 'Act of Parliament' style wall clock having a 14-inch circular white Roman dial, the break arched case with brass bezel and reeded borders over ogee arched trunk door between reeded pilasters, 140cm high Condition: Dial has been repainted. Movement appears sound but not tested and sold as seen. Packing beneath seat board to each side. Case has some front to back cracking to hood arch and vertical splits to hood sides, otherwise sound - **General condition consistent with age

17th Century and later ebonised bracket or table clock, the unsigned 6-inch square brass dial with silvered chapter ring having Roman hours, Arabic minutes and half hour divisions with inner quarter hour and minute tracks framing a matted centre with aperture beneath XII, angel mask spandrels, later wire-driven twin-fusee movement with anchor escapement, the case with pierced gilt metal basket top and acorn finials, 36cm high including handle Condition: Dial - tarnishing to chapter ring. The matted centre has an aperture at 12 instead of 6 so is probably the wrong way up. Movement would have previously been verge and crownwheel, now with late 18th/19th Century twin fusee movement. Case has some rubbing to high points of gilding of basket surmount, patching to one rear corner of top, missing rear door escutcheon and some rubbing to outer rear door edge. Marks to front door beneath escutcheon (which is the wrong way up). General wrinkling and cracking to ebonising, feet are of a later date. Overall a restoration project or for parts, and sold as seen - **General condition consistent with age

Mitchell, Glasgow, having an 11-inch Roman dial with subsidiary seconds and calendar dials, inscribed as above, the knopped four-pillar movement striking on a bell, the case with stepped architectural top over canted corners to the hood and trunk, framing crossbanded trunk door on panelled base and stepped plinth, 180cm high Condition: General crazing to dial, some fading to inscription and reblacking of subsidiary dials. Movement has been cleaned, appears sound but untested and sold as seen. Minor packing beneath seat board to each side. Case in generally good condition except for veneer losses to edges of front panel of base, otherwise good colour and figure - **General condition consistent with age

Glink, Pesten, the 6.5-inch white Roman dial inscribed Glink S.Pesten within cast bezel, with single weight-driven timepiece movement, the case with carved ebonised palmette cresting to the break-arched cornice over rosewood-crossbanded arched glazed door, 96cm high Condition: Dial in good order, movement is clean and appears complete but is untested and sold as seen. Case has been cleaned but appears in good overall order with no apparent losses or replacements. Very minor cracking and wrinkling to door crossbanding and to front edge of base, otherwise very good condition - **General condition consistent with age

Fine 19th Century 'Black Forest' inlaid walnut musical cuckoo bracket or table clock, circa 1879, retailed by Camerer, Cuss & Co, London, the 6.25-inch Gothic chapter ring with bone numerals and hands, wire-driven twin-fusee movement striking on a coiled gong, bellows-operated cuckoo and musical box to base with 6.25-inch barrel and complete comb playing six airs, the backboard with hand written detail to printed card, inscribed S30.6.79 in a 19th Century hand, printed label of Camerer, Cuss & Co dated 11.36 and 12.43 with additional label to exterior, the case with ebonised eagle surmount over twin-door cuckoo aperture between finials, the architectural case with breakfront corners and carved scroll work over inlaid stepped base, 61.5cm high Condition: Dial has minor staining to numerals and hands, movement currently ticks and cuckoo functions but extensively tested and sold as seen, one pair of bellows has been replaced. Musical mechanism has a complete combe but extensively tested and sold as seen. Case has a later dowel peg to rear of eagle surmount, one finial is detached but present, minor wear to lower stage of ebonised base including rubbing to front edge and slight crack to rear ogee bracket foot, but overall very nice condition and private provenance - **General condition consistent with age
