Mid 19th Century Louis XV style French mantle clock in gilt and ormolu case depicting a young girl with a caged bird, set on a velvet pedestal standing on an ebonised wooden stand and protected within a glass dome. The white enamel dial with Roman numerals. The mechanism, by J Marti et Cie of Paris, with Bronze Medaille d'Honour, being a two-train, 8-day clock striking the half hour and hour on a steel bell, stamped with registration number 368 on backplate and on pendulum. Winding Key present. Overall Height including dome 47cm, width 44cm.
