Davon aufsteigender, kurzer Schaft in Gestalt einer Herme, mit den erhobenen Armen das achtseitige Uhrengehäuse tragend, bekrönt von vollplastischer Herkulesskulptur. Schauseitig floral graviertes Ziffernblatt mit arabischen und römischen Zahlen. Aufwendig durchbrochen gearbeitetes Werk mit Spindelhemmung, Kette und Schnecke, bez. Jans. Rückseitig äußerst fein graviertes Astrolabium. Im Sockel durch kleine Scharniere herausnehmbare Klappsonnenuhr mit scharniertem Polstab, mittig verglaster Kompass. Auf der Bodenunterseite Polhöhentabelle. Stand unw. besch.; H. 17,7 cm.Als Uhrmachermeister kommt Josephus Jans (1680-1760) in Frage, von dem noch wenige Tischuhren bekannt sind.
