Footnote: Collis is recorded in Suffolk Clocks and Clockmakers by Hagger & Miller as follows - COLLIS, WILLIAM HUMPHREY, Bury St Edmunds (and Ipswich at a much later date), 1864-1885, recorded as a watch and clockmaker at 20 Abbeygate Street, Bury St Edmunds in 1864 Directory, he was still there until 1885, but by 1891 the firms name was changed to W H Collis & Son and they had moved to 9 Cornhill, Ipswich, later still it became a partnership as Collis & Russell
