A 19th Century French Brass Cased Carriage Clock, by Drocourt, No.40516, the white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals to the eight day two train movement, striking on a gong contained in gilt brass and bevelled glass Corniche pattern case with moulded frieze and base, 5ins highCondition reportThe clock is in good overall condition showing wear commensurate and general usage. The gilding is a little worn around the top. The glass is intact showing no signs of any chips, cracks or previous damage or replacement. Likewise the mechanism appears clean and intact. The clock winds, runs and sets but should be regarded as untested. The base of the clock is in good condition. The screws appear original. The handle appears to be the original handle but again shows some deterioration of gilding through age-related usage. The white enamel dial is free from any hairline cracks. The baton numerals are clear and crisp and the hands appear original. There is a key with the item which appears to be original. Overall an honest example. The number is stamped on the base of the clock and on the plinth.**Please note, we cannot comment as to the originality of the components, please examine the images attached**.Images within the attached Dropbox link belowhttps://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/t2i96a9ehogl4435omlhd/h?dl=0&rlkey=3xfzjgl9iq4wj38xqk6w49itj
