January 1989 CONDITION REPORT: A fine example. No damage, repairs or restoration. Crisp moulding, a little bit of sanding, minimal wear to enamels and glaze.
A Worcester pedestal sauceboat, circa 1753, of moulded silver shape embossed with a leaf and scroll cartouche to each side, painted in bright colours with a bird on a flowering branch, the interior with a strutting crane , trailing flowers to rim, 19.5cm. long/Provenance: Acquired from Albert Amor Ltd. July 1989 CONDITION REPORT: No chips, cracks or restoration. The enamels in very good condition. Black specks in the glaze settle around some of the moulding on one side. Has fired leaning slightly.
An important early Worcester creamboat, circa 1752-53, of Wigornia type and hexagonal form with a geranium leaf moulded under the lip, the angular handle with elaborate moulded terminals, moulded in relief with two Chinese buildings within a fenced enclosure, a palm tree and a curved fence to the left, the reverse with a turreted building on a slope, a bird in flight above and a cow to the right, the moulding carefully picked out in a distinctive palette including yellow, blue, puce and green, panels of green diaper and half-flowerheads inside the rim and a flower sprig within the interior, 11cm long/Provenance: Sale Sotheby Parke Bernet, New York 16th Feb 1973, lot 266; Acquired from Albert Amor Ltd. October 1986/Note: This example corresponds to moulding F in Clarke & Riley's classification. A similar creamboat was in the Selwyn Parkinson Collection; sold Bonhams 18th May 2016, lot 333 CONDITION REPORT: No damage, repairs or restoration. Firing blemish to the handle. Some scattered black specks in glaze. Some wear to green leaf enamels on the base of interior. Some light scratching to the leaf under the spout. Rubbing to brown line rim.
A Worcester low-footed sauceboat, circa 1753, the handle with a curled thumb rest, the sides crisply moulded with shells, foliage and scrollwork with reserved panels enamelled with 'strutting birds' by a triangular fence and flowering rocks, 16cm long/Provenance: The Sidders Collection, exhibited Albert Amor Ltd., October 1985 CONDITION REPORT: A lovely example. A tiny nick to the rim of the spout but otherwise in very good condition. Good crisp moulding and bright enamels with minimal wear.
A Worcester Dutch jug, circa 1757-58, of globular form moulded with overlapping leaves painted in Meissen style with generous bouquets of garden flowers below a border of leaves and flowers and a gilt rim, a bluebell spray inside concealing a firing crack, 20cm high/Provenance: The Sir Jeremy Lever Collection, sold Bonhams 7th March 2007, lot 38, where it is suggested that the removal of the cipher or armorial could be due to the intended owner rejecting the jug as a 'second' and instead the factory removed the cipher in order to sell the jug to a new customer CONDITION REPORT: There is a long firing crack from the rim at the front, running diagonally into the shoulder; this has been concealed at time of manufacture by a strategically-placed leaf and bluebell spray. A small area of associated restoration. The plain leaf to the front of the jug is devoid of decoration and glaze but with traces of enamel and gilding - it has been suggested that a family crest was removed after they rejected it due to its imperfection. There is a chip to the foot rim at the front, and a small chip to the side of the foot rim to the reverse. The gilding on the top rim has been retouched.

Enamels and glaze also good, very little wear/scratches. Sanding and firing chipping to footrim.

There is a 0.5 cm firing imperfection to the exterior of the top rim above one of the handles, and another to the inner edge further around the rim. Enamels overall very good with only a few scratches to the tail of the bird and largest red flower.

Base rim of the funnel in perfect condition, the upper rim with several minute chips although all appear to be underglaze. Very small firing crack to the body close to the upper rim and only visible to the interior. Enamels bright and in excellent condition. Small glaze fault to the exterior close to the smaller flower clump. Small patch of scratched glaze over the end of one of the long branches also on the exterior.

A set of three Chamberlains Worcester blue ground dessert plates, circa 1810, painted central flowers with gilt scroll border, and four similar, with red script marks, 21.5cm diameter CONDITION REPORT: The three Chamberlains plates - each one of the pair has a section of the rim restored. Of the unmarked plates, The pair with large centre sprays: one has a faint hairline crack to rim and the other a small star crack in base; the pair with the smaller central roundel: one has a crack from the rim to the well.
Five slop bowls, Worcester factories, circa 1770-90, a Worcester tea canister and a Caughley oviform tea canister (both lacking covers) CONDITION REPORT: The two canisters lack covers, as catalogued. Two of the slop bowls have a faint star crack to undersides. One bowl has two small rim chips and a star crack under. There is some wear to gilding throughout this lot, commensurate with age.
