A rare and perhaps unique Worcester high Chelsea ewer. Painted on one side with the Chelsea Ewer Sprays and the other with a landscape framed within trailing scrolls incorporating a lone figure with trees and birds. Workman's mark c 1758-62, 8cm. John Sandon commented in a letter to J. P Fahy dated 4 January 2000 that this was "undoubtedly a new pattern." Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Handle re attached and the connecting points restored. Some restoration to the rim of the sprays side.
