Set of six early 20th century Royal Worcester coffee cups and saucers, decorated with cartouche panels of exotic birds and insects on blue scale ground, painted by George Johnson, pattern no. 2136 (12) Condition Report Date codes - five cups & three saucers 1905. One cup & saucer 1907. Two saucers 1909. One saucer has two large cracks and crazing. Another two saucers having crazing. All others have the smallest of wear to the gilding. One cup has been heavily restored, two cracks are visible, exterior and interior painted. Another cup has a crack running all the way through and a broken handle, all have been repaired. Late 19th century Royal Worcester Willow pattern silver-plate mounted fruit bowl on bun feet, D24cm Condition Report Various small surface scratches to the inside of the bowl and a few small chip/scratch marks to the rim of the silver-plated mount, small number of surface scratches to the outside of the main body of the bowl. A pair of Worcester first period blue ground leaf dishes, Dr. Wall porcelain moulded, each with gilt rim and orange stick handle, painted in colours with shaped panels of insects and exotic birds amongst foliage, slightly rubbed, blue square seal marks, 8½in. (21.5cm) wide. * Provenance: Christie's at Upton House, 14th-15th October 1991, Lot 905.
A First Period Worcester ( Dr. Wall ) porcelain bowl, painted in the Chinese style with flowering branches, precious objects and butterflies, 6in. (15.25cm.) diameter, interior decoration rubbed.* Condition: Firing flaw beneath glaze to interior (not visible to exterior). Glaze to interior very worn and decoration rubbed. Exterior has a few minor rubs and small scratches to decoration, but good overall. No chips or cracks.
