BR-W brass cabside numberplate 8480 ex Hawksworth 0-6-0 PT built by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn Ltd. New to 85A Worcester in March 1952, allocations also were 85D Bromsgrove where it worked as a Lickey banker, and finally 87A Neath (Court Sart) from where it was withdrawn in July 1964. Scrapped at Birds Morriston in October 1964. In totally ex loco condition.

Shedded mainly at Ferndale, Treherbert and Cardiff Canton. She was sent to Worcester as a stationary boiler in 1956 and was then sent to Swindon in 1957 and cut up there. Oval cast brass complete with GWS Bill Peto full fact sheet.

LMS oak cased mantel railway clock. The 3.5in silvered dial is marked ENFIELD LMS 17165, the case also has a BR-WR numberplate 4904 pinned to the underneath. The going barrel movement has recently been cleaned and oiled and is in good working condition. The case measures 5in tall x 6in wide x 3.5in deep. A delightful small clock from the Gloucester/Worcester Midland Railway lines that were transferred over to the Western Region of British Railways.

Arthur Holman was discharged with a SWB in July 1919, due to sickness having served for some four years.

Arthur Butt enlisted as a Bandsman in 1883 at Worcester, aged 19 years. Confirmed on the roll as Egyptian Medal and Clasp The Nile 1884-85, Khedives Bronze Star.

A TRIO TO A 4th WORCESTER REGT MILITARY CROSS RECIPIENT. A copy Military Cross, a 1914/15 Star named to 6515 C S Maj J Lunn. Worc:R. British War & VIctory Medals named to 2/Lt J Lunn. John Lunn was commissioned into the 4th Battalion of the Worcester Regt, from the ranks. He had served in 2b Theatre of War (Balkans) from April 1915. He is mentioned several times in the Worcester Regiment History of the Gt War. It was whilst he was serving as a 2/Lieutenant acting Staff Captain, that he was awarded the Military Cross for his good work for 3 days, during the Battle of Cambrai London Gazette 16/9/1918 Issue 10935. 'His Majesty the King has been graciously pleased to approve the following award to the under-mentioned, in recognition of their gallantry and devotion to duty in the field.' Awarded the Military Cross for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty as adjutant to his battalion. At a critical moment he collected a party of men who had lost their officers and were much disheartened, leading them forward through intense Machine-gun fire he re-established the line at a very important position. His medal address in August 1920 was given as John Lunn MC, Hildene, Tower Rd, Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield. Also an unnamed group to his son by provenance, 1939/45 , Africa with bar 8th Army & Italy Stars, Defence & War Medals. The group bar mounted for wear. See Illustration
